Sturdy sisal rope scratching post for kittens and cats
Excellent scratching post and exactly as described. It is easy to assemble. This one is being used for a 10 week old rescued kitten and there's plenty of room for the kitten to grow into the height of this product. The sisal rope is durable for sharp little nails. The base is stable and holds the scratcher portion. The toys are well secured too. With rescue and foster kittens, it's a good idea to use new items for their health. This is the second purchase of this cat scratcher. Last year's post held up for a mama cat and her seven kittens! It was a favorite toy for the family and is still a favorite scratcher for my 10 year old 16 pound cat. The base material is soft and washes easily too. Highly recommend!

Very Sturdy
My cat loves this and uses it often for scratching and play. He's a big boy and can reach the top easily. Very happy with his new scratching post and I hope it lasts a while. He can be rough with his claws because he is an indoor-outdoor boy and loves climbing trees, etc. Very easy to assemble and sturdy enough for my 14 pounder. No negatives on this post, it works great!

My Cat Loved It Right Away!
Super easy to install, and my cat started playing with it right away. She also enjoys scratching it, and it seems sturdy and well made. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Hit with the big kitty kitty’s
I’ve purchased from this company previously, they are great. This is another hit! I had to go for a tall one since my big boys love to stretch and scratch. Sir William is a BIG boy & he hasn’t toppled it over. The scratcher attachment has proven to be a lovely surprise bonus.

Almost perfect
Yes, yes, yes. Exactly what cats need. I have three very different cats from very different backgrounds and all three utilize these scratchers. Has it stopped them from scratching the furniture? No. Not 100%. Probably more like 90% though and that a lot. I did purchase two and placement seems to be key for my kitties. Setting these posts near the furniture to give them that alternative is necessary. I must point out that the moment. The absolute moment I set these down, my cats stated using them. One cat ran back and forth between the two, scratching at both. They were immensely happy and they were showing me that they liked what I bought. The height is perfect. Stability? Meh. These posts do rock and sway. For kittens under 5 months they may be perfectly stable, but any adult cat is going to make them move. These posts should have thicker bases to prevent sway. They have not toppled, yet. If the bases weighed just a little more. The posts are boring beige, but the cats don’t care. They look like ugly, dead tree trunks and my cats love them.

just okay
if you're trying to save every penny, it does the job. Cat uses it, it works. It is genuinely good? not really. The post is 6lbs, which is really not that great. The base itself is light and wobbly, and even if you literally stand on the base, the post still wobbles relative to the base. These are my observations from day 1, and judging by other reviews something tells me the durability isn't best out there. I did really like the towel-style green fabric for the cactus option tho.

Very sturdy, cats Approve!!!
This is a pretty large sturdy cat post. I have 3 active cats....they all LOVE this tree. I've had two of them at the same time on the pole itself (18lbs) and wresting on it...no tipping at all. This thing is just awesome. Great bang for buck. Also, carpet doesn't shed...I appreciate that I don't need to clean that up too.

Good scratching post
Pretty great! My kitten climbs on it a bit...the little fluffy ball on a spring is a plus. But I worry that the sisal will give her splinters.
