Amazing faucet that looks great and functions even better
We bought this faucet as we had been looking at it for quite a while. If you do some quick shopping around you will find that this thing ranges greatly in price. Most places have it listed for less than MSRP, but Amazon had it listed way way less. I was a bit skeptical, but it was sold by and shipped from Amazon so I felt confident that if there was an issue a return would be pretty simple. When the unit arrived it came in a non-retail type box. The box was your typical brown cardboard with minimal text on the outside of the box. Moen was on it as well as some quick details like the model number and such. The box was sealed with a single layer of tape so I am confident that this came straight from Moen like it was. When we opened the box all things were in plastic and in their respected places. The install was very straightforward. I would rather install a kitchen over a bathroom faucet any day of the week because you do not have to deal with the drain! We replaced a builder grade Moen unit so it was nice that this came with all of the tools to install as we needed one of them to uninstall the old unit that was in place. The install took me about 45 minutes to an hour, but if I had to do it again I am confident that it would not take any longer than 30 minutes. It was a very simple process and the instructions were very easy to follow along. I do have a few complaints with this one that I would normally just try and not think about. First, if you are on the sprayer and you turn off the water most faucets would default back to the regular flow, but this one does not seem to do that. When we turn the unit back on we tend to get a mix like it wants to switch back, but just doesn't quite make it. Second is the material of the pull down spray selector. This unit retails for almost $1000 and for that price I would expect that this thing be all metal. The pull down feels like a chunky piece of plastic. It is sturdy and well built, but does not have the same metal feel like the rest of the unit does. And finally, my biggest gripe here is that this thing runs on batteries out of the box. 6 or 8 of them if I remember correctly. Your hot and cold lines go into a blend unit that then plugs in with a headphone type port up to the handle. There is then a single water line out of this blend unit that lets the water travel up and out into the sink. If the batteries die your faucet dies along with it. Again for this price I feel like the power kit should be something that comes with it. I know not everyone is going to have a plug under their sink depending on their setup, but for the price I feel like it could have been included. Eventually we will break down and spend the $100 to get the power kit that runs off of AC power until your home loses power and then it will switch over to the batteries. All in all I would 100% buy this again and again. We love the unit, but wish that there were a few things that Moen would choose to upgrade / include with the purchase of this unit.

Best Buy for a busy kitchen -Durable and reliable and looks great!
Im a contractor and learned the hard way to stay with well know brands like Moen and Delta etc. So when I had to choose for my home I went with Moen. This is a great faucet its been bullet proof for 3 years its easy to clean and maintenance free. I was torn if the motion sensor upgrade was with it. Let me tell you its 100% worth every penny! We use it non- stop. if your hands are full or dirty it works great if you're sick or anyone is- its a great option. In 3 years I replaced the battery once! Ive installed many facets and this is about the same as any other/ most handy homeowners can handle it, All you'll need is little space for the weight that retracts the sprayer and will have to stick the battery pack to the cabinet wall but its relatively easy. My cabinet is small with a garage disposal (fits fine). As you can see in the video it does slide past the holder when it retract sometimes but no big deal. I'd recommend sticking the battery pack where you can reach it just to keep it simple. One last thing that makes it a "Best Buy" is the power of the nozzle when you flip it to rinse -it just works great for cleaning plates etc. **FYI it returns to the normal faucet flow after you shut off the water. One last thing I appreciate is that if the kids use the hands free motion detector it shuts off automatically after like a minute Great investment Buy it!

LOVE this faucet! Looks so simple and clean!
We were re-doing our laundry room and I was going to take our older Moen faucet that was in the kitchen and use it in that sink. After taking it apart I realized that after 12 years the faucet was on it's last leg. I was browsing through all of the Moen faucets and it was overwhelming honestly. I narrowed it down to about 30 and then showed my wife and she immediately picked this one out. I was on the fence since we do not have a chef's kitchen and thought it would look out of place. After reading the height dimensions I really thought it was going to be too tall. Got it over the weekend and WOW! Looks beautiful. It's so sleek and modern looking compared to what we had it's unbelievable to me how such a fixture can update the look of the kitchen. I also purchased the modern looking soap dispenser and since the granite guys were here for the laundry room I asked nicely if they'd drill a hole in the kitchen counter. Both complement each other really nicely in my opinion. Moen S3947SRS Modern Kitchen Deck Mounted Soap and Lotoin Dispenser, Spot Resist Stainless Installation is SUPER easy. I've NEVER changed a faucet before and it took me about 15 minutes to do so. Do NOT think it's over your head because you've never done one before. There are two things I am not fond of. First is the head of the faucet. It's plastic. It's such a shame too because the entire unit and quality of this is all metal and it blows my mind that a fixture that is $400+ gives you a plastic head. The part that you extend down and touch almost every time should be metal just like the faucet water control on the right hand side. This is honestly my biggest gripe with a really nice kitchen faucet. That leads me to the next thing. By default on this unit when the water control hand is upright just like in the pictures it's off. Push it to the right while still keeping the position at the 12 o'clock will net you hot water. To adjust water you must turn the hand down towards the counter. This seems backwards to me. By default I should have cold water up top and then adjust the handle downward to start to make it warm then adjust to hot. This really bothers me but it's 100% easy by just switching the connections on the bottom of the sink. Instead of hooking the cold water to cold line hook it to the hot water line and same with the hot.. Hot goes onto cold. By doing this it will 100% solve the problem above. I will note that my wife is completely fine with how it is by default and actually prefers it that way (hot at the 12 o'clock position and cold as you turn the handle downwards). Perhaps being left handed I just am used to adjusting water slightly different than her since she's a righty. One last note is it really helps if you have a deeper sink. If not you will get water splatter. Even with the deeper sink water seems to splatter in places it did not with our older faucet. I was on the fence about spending this much for a faucet but honestly the one that was in our kitchen like I mentioned above was 12 years old, and if this lasts that long then it's worth it. We purchased the stain resistant s/s version and NOT the chrome. Some times it's hard to tell in people's pictures what they purchased. Hopefully this helps some folks :-)

DO NOT BUY IF YOUR SINK IS INFRONT OF A WINDOW
I have had this faucet installed for about 6 months now with the voice activated module. I have updated the review with feedback I received from Moen Customer Support at the bottom, which honestly is not much help, they acknowledged the issues had no resolutions to offer. Pros: - Very sturdy, looks great in my kitchen - Touchless is a very nice feature, keeps the faucet from getting dirty - The voice activated feature, when working, is actually accurate - i.e. "Alexa tell Moen faucet to dispense 1 tablespoon of water", "Alexa tell Moen faucet to dispense 4 cups of water", etc.. Cons: - The faucet randomly turns itself on and water starts running when no one is in the kitchen. We think changes in sunlight are triggering this since our faucet is installed in front of a window. There doesn't seem to be any way to easily temporarily disable the motion sensor which is located on top of the faucet. The only solution I have found is to crawl under the sink and unplug the sensor. If the sensor is unplugged then you can't operate the faucet manually. - When our power went out for a week during storms this summer, we did not initially have backup batteries installed, and we couldn't use the faucet at all until one of our neighbors loaned us batteries. If you unplug the faucet to keep it from randomly turning itself on, you have to crawl back under the sink to plug it back in. - The water flow is strong and very strong. I have been thru all the adjustment/calibration options on the faucet and there doesn't seem to be anyway possible, either when operating the faucet manually or when voice operated, to allow the water to trickle and also to have a strong flow. You can trickle water if you turn the water valve under your sink to be only partially open, but then you won't be able to get a strong flow when you want it. Response from Moen: At this time there is no feature to be able to disable the sensor in the Moen app for your smart faucet. Also while the flow control feature in the app is unable to do a trickle you can do that by using the faucet handle (THIS DOES NOT WORK). As for the sensor being affected by the light coming in from the window maybe a curtain would be helpful if it is that close to the window.

This is the third touchless kitchen faucet I’ve used. The first one performed well for 10 years, until it started to leak. The second worked for about a month—before it started to malfunction. This one is undoubtedly the best by far. It has a sleek, modern profile with perfect hands-free sensor sensitivity. The pulldown spray head allows you to change water pressure as well as go from stream to spray. The water flow is just right, and the spray is precise and effective without excessive splash. Overall functionality is very intuitive. Not only is it high-quality, but it’s also made in the USA—important to me. I’m exceptionally pleased with this purchase and happy to strongly recommend it!
