A justifiable remastered collection 10/10
If you loved these games on the PS3 or XBox 360This two disc set is a must haveYou get everything from the entire Bioshock series (single player extras)on a two disc setI can understand why they pulled the online mode from BioShock IIWhile it was fun it was also far from balancedBut, you get lots of cool new extras including a area with prototype characters, various sketches, and various audio commentaries from the creatorsThe original SRP might seem a bit high But, I would've gladly payed $100 for this collectionThe BioShock series is my all time favorite FPS SeriesIf you missed this during the last Generation get this setThere is nothing like BioShock the series is close to perfectControls (Bioshock) the layout is a bit off you jump with Y when it would feel smother with the B buttonThe Zoom is also in a strange placeThe controls are a "little" dated much like playing Resident Evil 4But, once your brain wraps around the changes you'll be back at home fairly quickAudio is awesome getting a DTS 5.1 adds so much to how good this games soundsbetween background noises, creepy dialog, all the various sound f/x and fighting the Big DaddiesThis is the only way to experience Bioshock in DTSIf you don't have a Home Theater system for your Console get one you are missing outA game like this is enhanced x10 due to the surround sound it pumps outGraphics: It's a full blown high end PC Port of the series with 1080pThis is the best the series will look unless 2K takes a massive gambleand re-releases this series in Ultra HD (I don't see that happening ever though)If you can play the game in dynamic range that is the best picture qualityThis is the complete/essential version of Bioshockalso the options are extremely deeperthe options menu looks like how PC games have a bigger selection of various things you can do to tweak the game to your likingBioShock 2 (Might just be one of the most underrated FPS sequels ever)I forgot how much i loved this gameIn some ways it's better then the first BioshockMuch like the first gameBioShock 2 has been remastered and looks gorgeousThis is a real proper remasteringThe Controls while at first will feel dated or a little off(One negative you can't change up the control scheme to your liking)They give you four different choices I highly suggest just keeping the controls on the default settingAudio is awesome (If you don't have your console hooked to a home theater) Don't play this game until you can get a descent home theater system that can decode in DTS 5.1The audio is flawless between the sounds you hear behind you or the solid base of the big Daddy walking aroundIt's like being at the movies!Story: Is just as strong as the Original it introduces plenty of cool concepts and ideasThis time playing one of the Original Prototype Big Daddy's it adds a whole new dimension to the world of RaptureBy the half way point you can see how Bioshock 2 is linked with the first game and InfinityAll 3 games have connectionsThe only two minor negatives regarding BioShock 2 are:The Big Sisters are thrown at you just to slow you downOnce you figure out there pattern they are easy to defeatThe second negative isn't so much a spoiler it's a missed opportunityThroughout the game you come across voice recordings of this man from the surfacenamed Mark MeltzerWho only came to Rapture to find his kidnapped daughter CindyThis character should have been who "you are"It would've added a lot more depth to the story that Sofia Lamb turned Mark into the Subject Delta you play asOf all the countless unnecessary re-release so far during this short anti-climatic generationThis is one of the best and truly must own titlesOnce you step into the world of Rapture you'll never want to leave 10/10MS Gamertag Duckman 1979

Groundbreaking Game, With Enhanced Graphics At A Phenomenal Price!
I played and loved each of the three BioShock games when they were initially released, but all on the XBOX 360. I still think of the game from time to time and have thought about pulling out my 360 copy to play when I learned of this set with the earlier games having updated graphics. I anticipated a high price for three complete games, including all single player DLC, but was pleasantly shocked to find it for sub-$20.The gameplay and story are incredible and if you have never played these games do yourself a favor and get this set now. The original BioShock reinvented the first person shooter genre with many of the innovations from this game now commonplace in FPS games. Be warned though, after playing such a strong story as the Bioshock games, you may find other FPSs a little mediocre. While the graphics in the original two games were great in their day, they would be a bit dated compared to more current games so the visual revamp in this edition makes Rapture appear even more stunning. The changes are similar to what was done in the Halo Master's Chief edition, where little was done to the gameplay but the visuals were updated to be more appealing on current systems. The gameplay is as great as I remembered and having the director's commentaries found in-game was a fun touch (you an find them and watch them from the main menu if you don't want to interrupt gameplay).A couple minor quibbles, but truly quibbles and nothing enough that I felt the need to drop stars. I have found that the original BioShock will occasionally crash out. This is not very common, maybe six times during my entire playthrough, but can be pretty frustrating if you have not recently saved. The games does allow you to save at almost anytime and I regularly save as part of my play and the crashes were pretty uncommon so not a major issue. A last quibble is that while the surround audio is really strong, sometimes you will hear someone distinctly to one side but there is no one there. Not a major hiccup, but I have had more than once that I spun around thinking someone was coming up behind me only to find there is no one in the room. All in all, whether you are returning to Rapture or visiting for the first time the games are incredible and worth getting this set. Having all of the DLC and updated graphics makes this a must have!

Bioshock is the best video game ever made.
Bioshock is the best video game ever made IMO. Played it several times and still go back to it every couple of years. Definitely part of the stranded on an island survival pack providing the island has power. Games 1 & 2 are cut from a different cloth but 3 is still a good time. Still waiting on the 4th installment. Got this copy cuz my individual copies went for a walk. Could just grab a digital copy I guess but I like to have my favorites on a shelf.
