It helped me to ensure that I understood the terms in the PMBOK, which I think was incredibly helpful. Having taken the test, the only resource that can prepare you for the types of questions that they’ll ask is the PMI prep course. These questions ARE NOT the questions (or anywhere close to the level of difficulty) that appear on the test. I didn’t read this book. I only used the questions. I did feel like a few questions didn’t have the correct answers. Overall I do think it helped me to pass the test but it cannot be used solely or as a replacement for reading the PMBOK. Review: Book falls short of expectations - I passed my test but it was not because of this book. The 2021 pmp exam is at least 50% Agile/hybrid based questions. This book is 90% predictive model based. If I didn’t spend a lot of time watching videos and researching materials outside of this book, I would not have passed this test. I also thought the book could have been improved by having generic test taking information and strategy for the pmp exam specifically or explained the TOC better.
