Philips offers a Two Year Guarantee. I have additional appliances insurance which is cheaply bought if you can gather them all together to form one package & it runs with continuous useage, or replacement type insurance. It will depend on what type you have in addition to the two year guarantee which is remarkably good in the current climate! Good iron for a small price & recommended.

the steam boost dosnt seem to work are you supose toleave it on

Steam boost will only work when dial is set on steam setting. Or dial marking against raised line on body of iron at rear of dial. Hope this helps.

How do you select steam boost? second question, if you do not use eco do you simply select the light steam position or heavy steam position?

There is a boost button for the steam boost. I find the eco setting for steam is adequate but the next setting is one click over to the left.
