I use this mat to protect my table as I do paint craft work. The paint wipes right off. It is also easy to store! Just folds right back up.

My needs for this mat is to protect my stained glass pattern on my light table when marking and scoring glass. It is not clear transparent, it is a milky white transparent. It works for my needs but where the pattern is not directly over the light, it's a little harder to see the pattern lines. However, overall this silicone mat appears to be durable; does not smell; lays flat, doesn't slide around. For my needs, it's four star, but for general use, it's five stars. This could be good in the kitchen for rolling dough - I may order another to try that out next.

Game Changer, Excellent product!! I use both of mine when I work with resin. Saves my table top in my work area. Cleans up nicely. Very inexpensive, wouldn’t work with resin if I didn’t use this mat.

My wife likes to cook, and she's recently started to fry more things: fresh onion rings, Indian flatbreads, falafel balls etc. And tater tots (a true gift from the gods). The countertop next to the stove typically needs a lot of cleanup afterwards, since there is spilled batter, oil from utensils etc on the granite. I really don't like the idea of oil seeping into the granite, so I decided to try this silicone mat, and it is -awesome-! It's large enough to cover the countertop, and she can lay out all her ingredients, foodstuff and utensils easily on top of it. Being cured silicone, she can lay it to the edge of the stove, to catch any splatter without a fire risk. Cleanup is simple: pick up all four corners, carry to the sink, soap it clean, air dry and fold away. I got the light green color and it makes for good contrast against her prep items, and the color is pleasing to the eye. This helped solve potential messes, and it's something that I expect she can use when she starts making bread and cookies in the fall.
