One of my favorite line spoolers
This spooler has a bit of a learning curve, but once mastered, it's very convenient. The built-in line counter is perfect for tracking line spooled onto the reel. I've used it with 12-18 lb mono, 4-12 lb fluorocarbon, and 8-20 lb braid, and it worked flawlessly with all lines. The only minor issue I encountered was the line counter not registering properly with 4 lb fluorocarbon. This spooler eliminates the need for makeshift devices to hold spools while spooling reels; it accommodates spools of various shapes. I appreciate the ease of spooling my casting reels, as they are my primary tools for bass fishing. This adjustable clamp, featuring three sides, allows the spooler to accommodate rods of varying diameters. A rubber pad on the clamp's underside enhances grip and protects the rod. Line tension is easily adjusted using the included Line Boss. The line cutter effortlessly handles all lines tested, from heavy to light braids. The spooler is constructed of high-quality materials and feels exceptionally durable. Like other KastKing products, it offers excellent value. This is a must-have tool for any serious angler.

Easy to Use Line Spooler!
The KastKinge TrueWind Clamp-On Fishing Line Spooler does what it says. It helps spool line for spinning and baitcasting real. The line goes on tight thanks to the Line Boss Tension Band. The band is very fancy elastic band that is slipped over the supply spool with an eye grommet in it to control the line tension as comes off the supply spool. The TrueWind clamps to your rod or a tabletop. I love the versatility of table or rod. I have only used this once on a rod so far. The clamp will fit on to most, if not all, rod sizes. When using the clamp, squeeze down tightly on the clamp then look the clamp down. If you do not, the clamp will be loose on the rod and swing left to right and/or slide up and down the rod. It was very useful to have a line cutter right on the spooler. The line on my reel was even and tightly wound. The TrueWind spooler came with a stapled instruction book. It had separate instructions for spooling line to a spinning reel and a baitcaster. The instructions are clear and there are plenty of pictures to show you how to set it up. I think the instructions would be easier to read if they were a foldable poster. But that is not a dealbreaker. Overall, easy to use line spooler. This will save you time and frustration.

Not Bad!
In fact, it’s actually kinda great. The only complaint is that it is made from a fairly weak-feeling plastic that I don’t expect to last for more than maybe two or three years, but considering its low price that’s not really a big deal. When I first opened it up and looked at it I almost just sent it back, but I had a bunch of spinning reels and a couple bait-casters that needed new line so I put it to use. I still haven’t done the bait-casters yet, but it worked really well with all of my spinning reels. It made putting line on the reels an easier and quicker process than it has been for many decades. I would like to see it have more rod-blank options because the smallest diameter hole on this thing is still a little too large for very light and fast action rods, but being able to tighten tension in two separate ways helped making putting line on reels on small, thin rods fairly easy. I would recommend this to you if you are in doubt, but there’s also sturdier ones around if you’re willing to spend a larger amount of moolah. If you want one that is economical and does its intended job then this little bad boy from KastKing is worth your investment.

Fantastic Spooler, DO NOT HESITATE BUYING!!!
Most people would think someone was crazy to be excited about a fishing line spooler....and those people would be wrong! I have said it before; I don't know how KastKing keeps coming up with innovative tools to solve problems I didn't even know I had. But they have another winner here with the Kalibrate Line Spooler. I never really thought about the use of a line counter for something like this, but it comes in very handy and is great knowledge to have seeing how various brands and weights of line make changes in how much line goes on the spool. For spinning reels there is no twist in the line as you would get using other methods and it makes bait casters an absolute breeze to fill with line. The biggest problem I see is this tool makes it so easy that I will now spend more money changing my line out more often, which I need to do anyway. I primarily use baitcasting reels and I can spool one in under a minute. it literally takes longer to set the tool up on your rod than it does to actually spool the line. And don't misunderstand, setting it up isn't a long process, about two minutes if you are opening a new package of line! I should also mention, the scissors that come with the kit are fantastic as well! They are small enough to not take up space in my kayak and fit great in my PFD pockets. Not to mention they are very sharp and cut braid like it's nothing. Overall, if you fish, you NEED this tool. Run to your computer and order this now. In fact, I may need another one to just keep on the boat!

It works but nothing to rant about.
3 stars because it does work and does help with spooling up your reel and keeping tension on it. Quality wise it’s cheap plastic and i wish that the counter was in yards instead of feet. Again it does its job but improvements can be made. Also did not come with the scissors

Does the trick
I’d next strung a fishing pole before and needed to replace the line on some old rods. This made it super easy. Seems solid, was compatible with all of my rods, fit both sizes of spools that I had. Highly recommend to make the job quick and easy.

KastKing for yet another fail in a long list of disasters.
I wish KastKing was what many people say it is. I want so much to be able to say that KastKing is a good brand, but this is an example of how KastKing fails on every level. I have bought bags, rods, reels, and tools, trying to give KastKing some of my fishing business. I have had two broken rods, a flimsy 6000 size reel, a bag that rips easy, and then this. Their warranty department is the worst in the industry. They lie and do whatever they can to get out of covering their products. Thankfully, with this one, Amazon took it back immediately without question. I would have hated to deal with the actual KastKing warranty department with this one. I have a perfectly fine reel spooler that works great for all of my reels. I needed one so that I could evenly split an expensive spool between two spools. Not only is this a piece of poorly put together junk that abrades your line, the counter set up is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. This is the most poorly engineered piece of junk I have ever seen in fishing gear. This is the lowest $ store quality, like cheap birthday party toys given out at a 5 year old's party. I tried spooling one reel with the same line 5 times, having to remove the line each time and starting over. This was on an inline conventional reel. Should have been an easy task. As for spinning reels, this will not properly take out line twist when spooling, even when putting the spool on sideways like the horrible instructions state. As for trying to add the proper tension with the silly bands, what were they thinking? I wish I could work for KastKing's engineering or QA department. I really don't want KastKing to be a bad business. I wish they could be as good as even the lowest budget fishing gear, especially when KastKing puts Shimano prices on much of their inferior products, but as it stands, especially with this spooler, I will avoid any KastKing products in the future. But from everything I have ever purchased from them, they should not be in business. Once again, this spooler is the absolute worst. An inline counter attached to your rod from Temu would be a better option than this atrocity. Yes, in 5 tries, this spooler split a 500 yard spool in approximately 75/425 to100/400, on the 5 tries, abraded the line, and didn't come close to getting the right tension.

Easy to use
A quick look through the instructions and I was adding line to my bait caster. Compatible with caster or spinning rods, the price and value of this product impressed me. I had no issues with the quality and was able to add the line tangle-free. It appears to be made from high quality material and I expect it to last me for many years.

Didn't survive one spool
Was good while it lasted, which was one spool... The idea is great - this device could have done a great job spooling for both casting as well as spinning reels, but the problem is - it is made from such cheap materials that it didn't last more than one spool before the threading on the axis that holds the spool in some tension so it doesn't wobble around basically stripped or otherwise stopped being able to stay tight enough against the hole of the line spool that it couldn't hold it steady any longer, rendering the device useless.

Protective coating on clamp
Awesome little gadget! I just wish there was some rubber or protective coating on the clamp that goes on the rod, plastic on carbon fiber feels kinda rough! Just a thought!

Mala calidad
Nada funcional, la manivela de “sostener” el sedal se cae, aún y que le des más presión no cuenta, la devolví.
