I needed a universal license plate holder because the holes on my bumper were drilled for a European license plate and now I have a U.S. license plate. With all the different hole options on this license plate holder, it fit perfectly! The holes I already have are about 8 1/4 inch apart and the US plate holes are 7 inches apart. There’s also a slight curve in my bumper (2016 Mustang) and the holder flexed to the curve when I tightened the screws. It feels very sturdy and not like cheap, thin plastic. I also like the screws. Installation is easy and self explanatory.

The OEM screws failed on a KIA Telluride (leaving two gaping holes which is a whole other story). This plate bracket covered up KIA’s engineering shortfall perfectly. I did need to drill two small holes for the provided sheet metal screws which were painted so hopefully no rust down the road either.

This item works great for mounting a front plate to my Subaru outback it is required to be mounted in many states so check and make sure you’re not required to have one.

I originally got this to fit in the original holes for my 2017 Audi a4 and it really didn’t fit. Every hole was about a 1/4 inch off. So I just decided to punch 2 holes in the trunk and mount it. And it is way better than the OEM bracket for Audi and it feels more secure. I currently have a temp tag on my Audi as it’s new. And it is staying secure. Driven over 100 miles with the temp tag on it and there aren’t any issues. I am really impressed by how sturdy the bracket is. Some things to know if you aren’t using existing holes like me you WILL have to drill into your vehicle. To Mount this thing.

Easy to install, love the proper plate screws. If you can't find a way to install this on your car - I don't know what would work.

Amazingly enough, even with all of the holes and slots, this is not a universal fit. I had to modify it to fit on my 2021 Audi Q5 PEV. This is more Audi's fault for creating such a cheap OEM license plate holder to begin with, causing me to replace it, but just be advised that despite it's appearance it doesn't fit everything. All I needed was two holes about 10" to line up with...something. But I had to modify it, and it was not trivial. But I got it to work.
