Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids (Silver), 3 Fl 0z- 2 Pack

I love this product! I use the silver color. I have had the brown hair color off my hair that I have had colored for years. Growing out my grey. I use this as a "toner" over the blonde , to blend with my grey out growth. It looks great! I use a half of the tube, 1/4 cup white conditioner, i apply to the blonde for 45 minutes, then rub into my grey to blend, for 15 minutes, then rinse. This works great for me. I was afraid the first time and only had it on for 15 minutes. Now I do 45 to 1 hour. I do apply this to clean dry hair.

I am very happy with this product. I lifted my dark hair to silver in the past using bleach and Kenra 8 SM but it had to be touched up often. I decided to give Pravana silver a try because I love Pravana. I diluted it with conditioner and I love the results. It’s soft and shiny. I’ve touched it up once after 2 weeks and used less conditioner which left me with a darker silver that is still nice.

I am going through gray transition and have dark brown hair. I was using box dye to cover my gray before this. After 8 months of not coloring I had a demarcation line from salt/pepper on roots to very warm dark brown on the rest. I decided to get baby highlights professionally done all over my head except for the grow out area and tone to silver to help blend the line. The highlights were pale yellow but not placed as well and she covered my new growth which started over my grow out!! The new growth should have not been covered and also a bayalage should have been done on the bottom to carry the lightness through the ends. Once toned to silver it would have achieved my goal but sadly didn't work.. My hair also ended up patchy (from uneven highlights as well) and dry ALL OVER.I decided to purchased this silver dye to try and tone my hair myself while I grow it out completely. The first time It helped a bit to get rid of the "dry grass" look I now had. I used it on dry hair for 15 minutes, but ran out of product. One tube was not enough, I have a ton of hair.The silver got much brighter, but my hair was still patchy overall.The second time using it, I used an entire tube and blended in conditioner as recommended to stretch it. I used 1/4 cup white conditioner (silicone free), and one entire tube to dry hair which did cover my entire head this time. The highlights again were less brassy, but the silver actually got a darker...pewter color. Overall, it is a muted/muddy effect. So still not super happy with results.Update, I did a third round (20 min.) and used 2 boxes undiluted on dry hair, and did not get as much brightening of the silver I wanted, but rather more of a purple hew this time, not as pewter looking as the second time..it again helped with the brassy somewhat. But still not right.Fourth round used on washed/towel dried hair and was able to get 1 tube to spread very easily all over. After 15 minutes I rinsed well and did a 10 second conditioner and got EXCELLENT RESULTS! Silver was bright and shiny, no patching anywhere, andThe brass on my highlights was cut down by 50%. No purple residue anywhere!I updated this to 4 stars because it's not perfect but I am very satisfied and will continue to use this product.Use gloves!I appreciated everyone posting reviews to help me learn how to try this product.. it seems everyone has a different result with different ways of using it.I hope my review helps someone else!Thanks!

I loved the color, the fact it doesn't stain anything, and it's toning out my stubborn pink hair perfectly!! It lasts for about a week before needing to redo the hair dying, but I'm someone who NEEDS to wash their hair every other day or I can't stand myself. Even without any product it has left my hair a dusty lavendar and I'm all about those colors.

Love this color first time i used I put on without mixing with conditioner then it gave more dark grey with blue tones.. but after diluting with conditioner and leaving on about 30 min.. I got this grey as pictured..I will be buying more a little goes a long way and it makes your hair so soft without 0 damage .. also hair was bleached prior to use

So I'm trying to go all gray. Had to bleach, and subsequently ruin my hair to get all the dark dye out but my hair is now a pretty straw like blonde. I completely soak my hair in altogether 4 tubes of this, left it on for 1 hour 15 minutes. Wash it out and holy cow most of it is gone before it is even dry. Well the rest was out by the next week leaving me frustrated and perplexed.

Left product in my hair on evenly dyed hair and it came out splotches. Had to a darker color to cover it and let go of my silver dreams. Be aware.

I have long hair and I ordered 2 tubes,and was able to cover my hair with one. I ordered silver,to cover my grey hair with something more interesting. The color looks great. I was afraid it would come out blue,and I would be celebrating Christmas with blue hair,but it is silver,just the way I had hoped! I will definitely buy this one again
