Great EDU-version -- it has (reasonable) limitations.
SEGGER provides many of the debuggers used by other companies -- same hardware, slightly different firmware, different color of the boxes -- and vastly different prices & licenses. If you qualify for the EDU license, this box is a good start and you can find tools (besides Segger's own) which support this. AFAIK, some (mass-production / programming) tools will check the device ID and refuse to work with the EDU version -- that's only fair.CAUTION : not all boards with ARM-processors have the same, big 20-pin connector on it and you likely need to buy an adapter PCB and cable. They can be expensive, though there are 3rd party options available here and elsewhere. Those cost ~$10 and you should get one of these "JTAG Adapter Converters" with a variety of connectors used on ARM-boards.You still need to check for HW & SW-compatibility -- chances a high it will work.

Segger J-Link used with em IDE
This product worked just fine to debug software on a ARM Cortex-M0+ processor using both em IDE and Keil uVision5.
