USB A Male to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Female Converter Cable (8W Max)

I have an old Sony DVD player that lately I’ve been watching from sitting in an easy chair. The charging cable for the DVD player is for connecting to an automobile cigarette lighter socket making it very difficult to charge the Sony from inside the house. I know very little about volts and watts, but I thought I would take a chance and try this charging cable by connecting it to a USB portable battery and the female end to the automobile cigarette lighter cable. It worked. I can now charge the DVD player from anywhere using a portable USB battery and the original charging cable.

This item was perfect, no complaints! My new car has a usb in the back seats and this was perfect for hooking up my older car DVD player. If you have a newer car and still want to use older car accessories this is perfect. This item is well worth the money.

This product works great for converting a USB to 12V for low power stuff. I bought it because my 12V outlet wasn't working. But I tried to run my portable air compressor from it, and it did not work. So if you're buying it for that purpose, beware. (Also, turns out I just needed a new fuse, so if you're having issues, check your fuses first!)

I got this items because the cigarette lighter spot in my car needs replacing and I do not have the time to get it fixed at the moment.It is a short cord so it doesn't got to far. It does fit various cords that require a cigarette lighter plug spot.I bought a connector to make it longer and to charge my phone and it works great. The only caveat is that since the plug fits various sizes, it's not a tight hold. But that doesn't cause many issues.Quite simple to use. Plug into the USB port in my car and go. Honestly you can plug it into any USB source.You know its on and working when the center box has a red light coming from it.So far it seems quite durable. It was a good price.If needed, I would buy again.

The part with LED become very hot after power on a while. Hope this will be improve in future version.--Updated on Jun.28.2026: the device is consistently hot during using.Now it cannot power the dash camera during noon or afternoon when temperature is just above ~78F. Dash cam kept restarting. While during morning time or evening when temperature is lower, there is no problem for Dash cam.
