Shy (Once Bitten, Twice Shy, #2)

While I applaud the author for trying to think outside the norm of werewolf fiction, I didn't like this book nearly as much as the first one. First of all swearing is one thing but blasphemy is something else altogether. That is one star off. The second star was lost to the ignorance and immaturity of Katherine. She rushed headlong and heedless on an emotionally based series of reactions (mind you not thoughtful actions) never one single solitary time pausing to think about how it would affect those she was running from or those she was running to! The character came across as grossly immature, selfish, and stupid beyond permission and ends up being a character you want to shake until her teeth rattle!!!

This would have been 5 stars but for 2 things. It's already been said a good many times that there were many proofreading/editing flaws. It was worse in the second book in my opinion. The 2nd was that Katherine was likeable enough, and believable for a 16 year old character, though I wish maybe she started as 17 and her birthday made her 18 before everything that happened. However the biggest thing was the constant "trying to hold back tears" followed by crying. And more crying. Fitting for a 16 year old who had such a traumatic life, but this is why I wish her character would have been a bit older and a bit stronger. It got a little old having her be so weak and a crybaby. Maybe I'm being harsh though. Otherwise I really enjoyed the book(s).

Book two is more active with the characters and the story is fantastic. I must say I am HOOKED. I already downloaded the third book. Hope it's not the end but l also hate having to wait for the next book to come out. So here I go looking forward to next adventure. High Fives.

I must say that Katherine found herself in trouble most of the time, it seemed to me that the pack was constantly getting her out of whatever shenanigans she was getting into. Though I did enjoy the book very much so, my favorite character of course was Bastian. At this point I don't know whether I'm going to continue on or just stop here. You never know I just may try the third book. Happy reading everyone 😉

Lots of excitement here! I really have grown to love the pack...they are all so different! One thing is the same, though.. they all love Katherine. Such loyalty, love and support, they truly are a wonderful family. There's a sequel, so off I go to read more of the story!

In this second series of once bitten you find Katherine once again finds trouble around every bend. She finally admits her love for Bastian, her Alpha, but what happens next keeps you on the edge of your seat not wanting to put the book down.

Book 2 was not a disappointment to say the least. I got so enthralled into the story I couldn't put it down. Now onto book 3

I waited to read this book for quite some time, and it was definitely worth the wait!Kenna’s intimate and intense adventure seems to come to a perfect ending in Shy. The characters were consistent, realistic, and truly intriguing. Marie definitely brought these people to life for me, which is why I feel like I so enjoyed the adventure. I loved to hate Bastian and was both sympathetic and constantly irritated with Katherine.The storyline flowed effortlessly, keeping me 'on the edge of my couch'. The action and the emotion kept the book a real page-turner.Looking forward to whatever else this author has in store!

Well I’m loving this series, Katherine and Bastian have so many ups and downs it’s unreal, the poor girl just attracts danger, and with so many obstacles trying to keep them apart it’s a wonder they made it this far. Bastian is determined to keep Katherine safe at all costs but will she regret her decisions once danger comes knocking on their door?Love the story, plot, and characters. The story covers so many different concepts but overall the book is a love story. Some lovely romantic and sweet moments, some very cute intimate moments, some embarrassing scenes and countless fight scenes. Lots of angst and misunderstandings. Would recommend.

Such a captivating read, I’m definitely glad I came across this series, such a talented author. Definitely recommend this series.

The first book bitten was amazing and this book was just as good! Can't wait to read the third one. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good werewolf book!
