I work from home and online. And I can only stand so much silence around me while doing my job. And I love music. And laptop computer speakers just cannot get the job done when attempting to replicate the thumping bass notes from my favorite rock songs. So I looked around on Amazon, did some price comparisons, and settled on this twin speaker/subwoofer set. Now, the desktop speakers are not huge but the sub is powered and has its own volume control so I can set it for the power level of BOOM that I want. And I love the BOOM so it's set pretty high. The quality of sound is light years beyond computer speakers and I have the desktop speakers set to either side of my laptop (I have an additional three screens tethered to the laptop) so the set up is a little tight. But it is SO worth it! The sub is set on the floor by my feet and it keeps my toes very happy tappin' as it thumps out the low end of the tunes. Super easy to set everything up, just plug and play. If you're looking for a compact speaker set that also has some very good sound reproduction this setup fits the bill!

I bought these speakers a couple of years ago. To my experience these speakers offer impressive sound quality for their low price point. The audio is clear, and the bass is surprisingly decent for such an affordable product. The USB-powered design is a huge plus—it eliminates the need for extra outlets, making them super convenient for use with a computer or other devices. Their compact size and lightweight design are also standout features, fitting nicely on a desk or in small spaces without being intrusive. However, there are a few drawbacks. The cables are quite short, which limits placement options and makes it hard to set up the subwoofer on the floor while keeping the satellite speakers on the desk. Another inconvenience is that the volume and bass controls are located on the back of the subwoofer, which can be tricky to access, especially if it’s tucked under a desk or behind furniture. Lastly, while the sound quality is decent for everyday use. To make these speakers even better, longer cables would provide more flexibility for setup. Relocating the controls to a more accessible spot—or adding a remote control—would make adjustments a breeze. Overall, these speakers are a fantastic option for the price, offering solid performance for casual use, but a few tweaks could take them to the next level!

USB-powered speakers are expected to be basic, low-powered speakers. When I saw this unit was a 2.1 system with a sub, I laughed. For $24 can't hurt to try. Fired them up, blasted some tunes, it's not bad. Speakers are much louder (without clipping) than I expected. They're loud enough for listening to music and youtube videos. They're not hi-fidelity 100W speakers, so set your expectations prior to purchase. Wattage = Power = how loud they go before sounding like junk. When hooking them up, be sure to use the most modern USB port you have; USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 (whatever Intel calls it these days, names change a lot) as the USB power spec is much higher on newer ports than older ports. E.g. - USB 2.0 is rated for 5V 0.5A = 2.5 Watts. As you crank the volume, you'll potentially nuke your USB controller from overdraw or cause intermittent USB Mouse and Keyboard issues (like I experienced). USB 3.0 is rated at 5 Volts & 0.9 Amps = 4.5 Watts, which is plenty. Remember, this unit is rated for 16W, this is the MAX draw they can pull, not the Max they'll get, which depends on your USB ports. If you have the option to, get a cheap, powered USB Hub, so you can provide dedicated power to the speakers without nerfing your motherboard's USB controller. Or, get a simple Y cable to pull power from 2 ports at the same time. My USB power is fine, but at much higher volumes, my motherboard's USB started calling it quits. I switched power from onboard to a powered USB hub rated for 30W, and it's fine. I daresay it got a bit louder since it has more power to use :) Overall, great speakers for the money. My objective was met: Pump some tunes and don't break the bank!

I was hesitant to buy this looking snobbishly at the price. I am used to my Home Theater setup with 13 speakers two of which are 12” Subwoofers. It however turned out that the MSI monitor I bought did not have built in speakers. I will say that being a Gamer most of the time I play with Headphones on. But occasionally I like to play using speakers instead. Amazon is great and stands behind the things they sell, so I thought for about $30 what can I lose other than maybe some time. So I pulled the trigger and ordered the speakers. Well I am amazed at the sound. No this is not concert hall audiophile but compared to most built in monitor speakers they sound terrific at less than the cost of the sales tax I normally would pay for speakers. The voices are clear and the music and gunshots sound pretty darn good. Now to the Cons: First I wish they had included an on off switch as I did not plug the usb power into my PC but instead opted to plug into a power cube and wall outlet. This is no biggy as the outlet is close and I just unplug the power when not in use. Second AI wish they had either put the volume and bass controls on the front of the Subwoofer or instead included a remote to power the unit on and off in addition to controlling the volume. Again this is not a major issue as the sub is small and close by on my desk. So if you need to get an inexpensive set of speakers because you do not like how the ones in your monitor sound, or if your monitor has no speakers and you want to add this feature, then give these little guys a listen you may, like me be surprised at how good they sound.

Piece of garbage!!! Boom for your buck ? Nope sounds tinny and ridiculous. No on off switch ! Stays on always . Hard pass on this

These are really good for the price but keep in mind that the bookshelf speakers are small so without the sub on its gonna sound "tin-ish" by default however if you run the sub high and tune it with a soundcard these will sound amazing, the total lack of distortion honestly blew me away especially at the tuning I run, I was even able to produce music on these with ease, definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a solid budget 2.1 audio system solution!

Not bad, not good. Average quality sound. Don't buy if you're looking for something great.

Initial impressions using in a small basement with USB-C charger for power and an 80s EQ are it is a good value! Sounds nice and very responsive to the EQ. Good sound. :)

I set it up with my record player and it was amazing, the sound quality and the bass are superb

Stopped working after few months, but worked again out of nowhere. Sound quality is amazing for the price.

so so product, wires too short but to me the main problem is the sound. First their is an imbalance because the sound comes too much from from the woofer , so the sound is only balanced in some music or songs, And the sound is too clear with not great bass due to cheap quality of the speakers.
