Amazing looking Nakiri 6" Chefs Knife from Zelite
My husband recently purchased some Alpha Royal Series as we already have the Japanese version of these knives and have used them for about a year (they are still super sharp and a pleasure to use) and my mother got a bit jealous as she was still using her old knives, had been going on about how excellent they were, so I thought I'd buy them as a gift to keep her happy!!. The previous Alpha Royals were superb and I expected that these would be no different....I wasn't disappointed!!. The range of photographs attached show the variety of foods that were prepared using the set.Firstly, the Knives arrived in quality packaging. I was particularly impressed, once opened, with the look of the knives in the box....they look super cool and were in keeping with the quality look of the other Zelite knives I've seen and used. The knives themselves are super sharp and you need to be extra careful when you first use them and remove them from the pouch. I cut my finger despite expecting them to be this sharp from prior experience with the Japanese versions!Since they arrived on a Saturday my mother was cooking a Sunday dinner the following day , so it was a great chance to try them out for herself. She was particularly impressed at how very well balanced and easy to use they are and don't feel overly heavy in the hand. They sliced through whatever food was being prepared with ease and all done their jobs with extreme ease. These are on a par with Zelites previous range as they continue to produce outstanding quality knives whether for the occasional chef or the more hard-core ones. Either way they are a definite plus for any kitchen and I can't recommend them highly enough. Now the big question for meβ¦.. "Do I keep these and give mother my Japanese ones"!! I don't think I would notice the difference either way!!Sleek Looking, Super Sharp....Sensational Zelite Infinity

Joy in chopping big thing into tiny bits
Best veg knife I have ever used.Remember that moment when you first use a good quality fountain pen, after years of ballpoint pens? That surprising smoothness, that makes it fun to write. This knife is the slicing and dicing equivalent of that experience.Spent half an hour turning big bits of fruit of veg into many small bits of fruit and veg just for fun, before realising that I had no use for the small bits.Have bern showing friends how you can thinly slice easy peelers with the skin still on them.It looks like it is from a Korean zombie movie, it is very well balanced, it feels high quality, and it slices fruit and veg like a slashers dream.Throughly recommend this knife.

Razor sharp edge and feels well balanced in the hand
Very pleased with the Nakari chef knife. The Alpha Royal series is Zelite's recommended range for professional chefs and the Nakiri will not disappoint. The handle fits nicely in a conventional straight-hand or in a chef's grip and the knife just slides through vegetables like cutting soft butter. It is quite a heavy knife which smaller and lighter people may find too heavy: the lighter Razor Edge series might be a better choice here.I have scored it 5 stars overall, with 3 stars on "Lightweight" which it is not, but which for a pro chef is likely to be a benefit rather than an issue.Be aware that although the Nakiri looks similar in style to a chopper/cleaver it most definately is not. The multi-layered Damascus steel is decorative and will take a really sharp edge, but it is hard, and trying to chop bones will almost certainly chip the cutting edge. Zelite do offer cleavers as part of some of their other knife ranges.Overall. pretty impressed and if I had the space in my knife drawer, I would buy more from this range.

Awesome
I've been wanting to get a decent kitchen knife for some time and did my research and looked a plenty of reviews. This name came up a few times and always favorably. It arrived beautifully packaged, but when you got it into your hand - wow - just wow. Beautifully balanced and a lovely weight to it.It's incredibly sharp and that in combination with the weight makes chopping a breeze. I had heard that a decent knife makes your prep easier - and this proves that theory 100%.And to top it all, it looks beautiful with the visible layers and hammering. So good I had to show the girls in the office my huge chopper and they all agreed it was an impressive example. π

Excellent
A beautiful knife, added to my growing set of knives in this range but has become my favourite and first choice for most tasks. Came razor sharp out of the box and has maintained its edge for daily use for months now. The ONLY downside is that I thought that the hammered finish would prevent food clinging to the knife after cutting, though it still accumulates on the knife, but I can live with that as it's such a beautiful well balanced knife.Highly recommended.

A bit to heavy but good quality
On first impression and some use I feel it's a bit heavy and thick in the blade. I have a few knives and this one could be the heaviest, the blade is a bit to thick to be wielded lightly, and after a few minutes you know you are hefting something a bit to heavy. The edge out the box is good and the hammered Damascus looks nice. The handle is nicely crafted and all very nicely put together with no gaps. I would say give it a go, but sure there are lighter models around.
