As the Title Suggests. The process for setting up these bulbs is unnecessarily complex for android users, but once you do it, the actual use of the bulbs is simple. In order to get the devices to show connect to you wifi network, you MUST enable airplane mode on your android device and then enable your wifi afterward on the device WHILE KEEPING AIRPLANE MODE ENABLED. For whatever reason, the app will time out and fail to pair the device if you do not do this. this is in the instructions on the website when you got to troubleshoot the issue, but for whatever reason that have not updated the literature inside of the box itself. Even after you do this, the bulb may fail to connect to the network the first time you go to pair it. if that happens, simple turn it off and on 5 times and allow it to cycle through the light sequence before attempting to pair it again. As for the product itself, It is extremely bright and has a great quality to the light. I am replacing a house full of lohas smart bulbs, and the the difference in the quality and color of light in person is night and day. Its cleaner, its more even, and it fills a space better. The picture in the listing is the Lifx bulb on the right and the Lohas bulb on the left. Keep in mind you can often get 8 lohas bulbs from the price of a SINGLE lifx so they punch well above their weight class, but there is a difference and a noticeable one is a side by side comparison. The array of visible colors is much better and the accuracy of often hard to hit colors like yellows, vibrant greens, and pink are present and vibrant. The ONLY issue i have with these bulbs is the pairing process. There is no reason i can fathom that it needs to be this complex, but it is and for the result i am willing to pay the price of having to turn on airplane mode for the initial setup. no issued controlling these with my google enabled home devices. Would reccomend.

I got my first Lifx light bulbs about 8 years ago. I have about 25 of them all over the house now and did not run into any issues with them. They are responsive, no sounds, work offline, the app works (online) from anywhere. I have them wired up to a some smart switches and connected via home assistant. You get a lot of colors. The colors vary a little between different generations. Realistically, I pretty much always use few different white tones, never the actual colors. They could be brighter but I'm sure they hit the lumens that they promise.

These are great pair seamlessly I bought them to use in my a15 light bulb in my celiing fan and while they are shorter they still wouldn’t let me put the dome on completely but I made it work but the lights themselves are great and pair easily and you don’t have to buy a hub or anything. Like most other lights 10/10!!

Revised Review: I've owned LIFX bulbs since 2016 and I can't recommend them anymore. I've had to replace my bulbs five times since 2016. Two times, they were under warranty and I got free replacements. But three other times, I had to pay for the replacements myself. So, since 2016, I've spent $276 on LIFX bulbs. And I've only had four fully working bulbs at any one time. The last straw was that I had a bulb which, for a year, was not displaying whites properly. It could do colors, but lost the ability to do whites. This went on for a year, and I was reluctant to replace the bulb just because I didn’t want to spend the money. But I finally gave in, and I ordered a replacement. Thankfully, the bulbs are cheaper than they once were. Now the prices are about $30 a bulb, compared to when they were closer to $50. So I got the replacement from Amazon but strangely, and I don't understand how this happened, one of my other bulbs all of a sudden started having the same problem of not being able to display whites. It seems very suspicious to me that this problem happened the same day I replaced the other bulb, but maybe it was just a coincidence. In any case, now I need to replace another bulb. LIFX is not going to do it for free nor or give me a discount. And the warranties on the bulbs are only two years. The bulb that’s now malfunctioning is four years old. It itself was a replacement of a bulb that had stopped working. So at this point, I think I'd be crazy to keep using LIFX bulbs. They're too expensive. They don't last nearly as long as their stated lifespan, at least with heavy use; if LIFX truly believed in the stated lifespan the warranties would be longer. So I'm going to try some other brands. But at this point, I wouldn't recommend the LIFX bulbs to anyone. My Older Review: I've owned LIFX bulbs since 2016. I've also had to replace four of them since then because of problems. I had one bulb fail on me completely this year after just a few years of light use. So, I wish LIFX provided a longer warranty. Still, I'm committed to using them and currently have four. This week I received a new bulb to replace the one that failed earlier this year. And I was surprised and pleased that the steps for setting up the bulb have become much simpler. Back in 2016, it was a much more comvoluted process that would often take multiple attempts. But when I set up the new bulb today, the process was much simpler. It only took a few minutes and I didn't have to switch from the LIFX app to my phone's WIFI settings and then back to the app like I used to have to do. So I think these bulbs are easier to recommend now that the set up process has become much smoother. I still think they are overpriced at their normal price--they normally sell for $50. Although i got my latest bulb on here for $39 and two days later Amazon is selling them for $25, which is the lowest price I've ever seen. I think the bulbs are definitely worth it at the lower price and maybe LIFX will lower their non-discounted prices in to compete with cheaper bulbs from other companies. We'll have to see.

I picked up the LIFX Smart Light Bulbs A19 E26 (2 Pack) to upgrade my living room lighting, and I’m genuinely impressed. Otherwise, they’re fantastic. Overall, these LIFX bulbs have completely transformed my room lighting. For anyone looking for reliable, vibrant, and fully controllable smart bulbs, I’d say this 2-pack is a perfect starting point.

I use a Linux desktop as my daily driver. This review and my rating of the LIFX light bulbs is mostly concerned with that... using them with Linux. I was pretty delighted to learn after installing them, I could ping them directly over wifi. You *can* use them with a cloud based home automation system, but my net connection is pretty flaky, so I *LOVE* that I can ping them directly. I was able to find a node.js package that did most of the heavy lifting and provided a simple API to turn them on, turn them off and change their colour. I *think* it can also setup animations, but I'm not really into that. I saw a reference to a python package, but I don't do python anymore. I was able to find the docs (they're not perfect, but they're good enough) so I'll probably add a Janet or Clojure package... cause... you know... lisp. The don't seem to be the brightest bulbs I've seen, but they're good enough for my living room. You might be sad if you tried to light a 14' x 28' condo with just two bulbs. I would say go with 6 because blue and purple seemed to be dimmer than green and red. That might be a feature of human colour perception or maybe it's the LEDs in the bulb. But when I tried out my Commodore 64 colour scheme, the cyan was MUCH brighter than the blue. I would love it if these things were a bit cheaper, but they're cheap enough that I bought a few. I rated "value for money" at four stars. I'm happy with the purchase and definitely don't feel like I was ripped off. So... if you're a Linux person and you want to do coloured light bulbs like all your iProduct friends, these are great. If you grok node or bash, it's pretty straight forward to make them change color at a certain time of day, when your spouse emails you or the CI/CD pipeline stalls (again.)

Alright. A WHOLE HOUR wasted. So I’m quite ticked off. First bulb took ages to “connect”. The app said it was paired even apple’s home app said it was connected. However, I had no control on the bulb. Couldn’t change colors, brightness, not even on or off with the app. I did the little 5 times on/off to reset and nothing. Wrote an very strongly worded letter to the support team and my initial review. Call it the sunk cost fallacy I inevitably tried the 2nd bulb just because maybe this one magically works. And I’ll be, it connected and set up in about 5 minutes. So maybe doodoohead driver yeeted my package or it just happened the first bulb I picked was defective. I don’t know and I don’t care. Gonna see what their support teams says and even amazon. I ordered 2 and currently only 1 works. Could change my review depending on how my issue is resolved however proceed with caution. There’s lots of 5 star reviews and it makes it seem great but again 1/2 my order works so make of that what you will.

Just the best. I had one and when it was discounted I bought two more. The App works, the bulb works and it has just the best light of all I have.

Me gusto el cambio de colores, y la luz tiene muy buen brillo para mi recámara, compré el De dos unidades, al instalarlos el Primero no Batalle nada emparejarlo pero el Segundo batalle un buen, tube que activarlo desde la app oficial y luego eliminarlo. Para poder agregarlo en HomeKit de apple. Pero después de todo eso me Ha encantado.

Arrived much before time. Good quality bulbs. Bought them for the broad colour temperature range which looks awesome. So far no connection issues. Thanks !!
