It works similar to taking a deep breath - holding your nose and trying to blow. You'll feel the pressure pop your ears open. Small children have trouble doing that but this they usually can do, adults can use it too. When the first method did not 2ork this did.

Ordered once and received only balloons. Does this product come with the tube and balloons?

Yes, it does come with the tube and balloons but you have to order the correct one. There is a separate one for the whole kit and then another one that allows you to just order the balloons. Just take another look to find the full kit one. And it is worth it. I was able to clear up my plugged up ear and save myself from a medical procedure.

difference between otovent adult and otovent child version?

None really. The plastic device "might" be a little bigger, but that's about it.

Does it with just balloons?

Yes- it is a plastic piece that you attach a balloon to. You plug one nostril and blow through the plastic piece and the balloon with the other nostril . It works well to open up the ear. I had fluid in my ear for a few months and this was the only thing that worked to open up my ear.

My Doctor recommended it for a plugged ear tube. Wow! I am very impressed how well it works and its safe for children as well. Perfect if you travel a lot on airplanes too.
