Yes, the bottoms are glazed. I would highly recommend them.

What is the depth of the 13x9 dish?

It's around 3" deep. Makes for a good lasagna dish.

I bought the 3 graduating sizes. The largest holds more than a 9x13 pan. The next size about 9x9, and the smallest about the capacity of a loaf pan.
