Awesome product. Nice quality. Easy to install. Make sure you order the right hose kit. If you are using a long hose to a propane tank be patient the first time getting gas to the burner. Took over a minute to light the first time.

I used this in my home when my electricity was out for days. It kept a very large house well above freezing.

Does what it is supposed to do

Mostly impressed, but the thermostat could be better. The dial has settings: 1-5. Setting it at the low side of 1 maintains the area at 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Setting it at 2 maintains the area at 73 degrees. I imagine if I set it at 5 I could bake a cake. I think it should be allowed to go lower, and I don't want to find out what 5 can do. I like the white enameled finish - I think it would look less obtrusive if the inset were also white.

I ordered this 20,000Btu for my 30' RV as a replacement for my current furnace. The furnace works fine but it's really old and probably not very efficient. You can feel cold air when you place your hands over the vents when it's not running. Since I'm doing a complete remodel instead of replacing the RV I decided to remove the furnace, gain some space and use this unit mounted on a wall instead. The first thing I noticed is it's much bigger than I anticipated. I was considering a 10,000Btu but I'm of the mind to always go bigger than necessary, a system that usually proves wise. It may not have been very wise in this case because this unit is much bigger than I expected. It function great and leaving on low worked well when in the mid 40's outside. I love the thermostat function and Its keeping the RV a balmy 76 degrees at night. A little too warm. I'll probably move this out to my shop and buy a smaller unit.

This heater puts out a lot of heat even on low. I bought the above propane hose connector with regulators with the heater. This hose comes with the brass pipe connectors needed to connect the heater to the propane tank. The fittings are already speed taped so no need to buy special gas pipe thread dope or tape. Just assemble the regulators, hoses and brass fittings and you are good to go. I bought the 12 foot version of the hose and it took about one and a half minutes for gas to arrive at the pilot lite to start the heater the first time. So expect that the first time the heater is started. There is an automatic thermostat on the heater and it will cycle on and off automatically. Heater is almost silent when it is running. Also, the heater comes with hardware to mount it on the wall. Right now, I just have the heater sitting on the floor.
