Great set of weights, slight rubber smell but goes away after a week or so. Slip resistant which is great

I really like my Papababe plates. I like them enough to standardize on them for my home gym. I owned some 45 lb CAP brand bumpers already. These are just a bit shorter in height, and can be put on the bar without the jack. They weigh what they said they would. The smell was not overpowering. I like the feel of them, and I get enough grip I never feel it will slip from my grip when carrying them. I look forward to my next purchase of some more of these plates.

Let me start by saying, THESE PLATES ARE LEGIT. Bought these for my home garage gym to upgrade from my old school iron plates, and they're probably the best quality for the cost out there. Going on two months strong now with almost daily use - deadlift, squat, bench press on a 1/4 thick 10x10 workout mat that contains my power rack, bars, bench and dumbbells. While I haven't been "trying" to beat them up, I can't say I've been easy on them, and so far still looking like brand new. I've even thrown them around a bit during weight changes and they've bounced from my rubber mat to the concrete floor - no scratches/damage. Of course there will be some rubbery smell when you first open them, as well as the light oil coating, etc.. but this is to be expected of anything made of this material and coming to your door new/sealed from production. Can't detract for that, c'mon people. Give them a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth, then keep them outside for a few days and you're good to go. I will be buying additional plates in all sizes to complete the set. Thanks for a quality product! - JB

Great durable plates

Purchased a 150 lb. set due to the price of other sets being unjustified in my opinion. I am totally happy with the product so far! 100% Solid so far. They are textured which makes them slightly easier to grip when you are stripping the bar and color coated. The 10 lb. weight has warped ever so slightly, however that could be from the Florida heat in the garage and leaving them on a barbell overnight occasionally. So, I cannot say that would not have happened with another similar product as well. They did have a little slickness to them out of the package from production. The same thing you find on any other rubber gym product such as dumbbells or bumper plates. To be expected and would be found on other brands as well. I highly recommend this company. Great product for the price! However... I would put one buyer beware warning attached to that statement. Watch out for their pricing!!! Compare the dollar totals between sets. The pricing does not make sense. Like I said earlier in the review some of the asking prices for the other sets are not justified. Which is why I bought the 150 lb. Even at retail you will pay $2 per pound and you can see it, touch it, and take it home same day from a local gym equipment dealer right now. Some of their sets are far beyond that asking price. Also, look closely at the individual plate prices. They want over $100 for 2x15lb plates... the same price they ask for 2 plates @ 35lbs each. That makes no sense at all. I personally need 15lb. plates but will not pay that for them. So, I'll be buying those from a different supplier. Just remember, $2 per pound is your average retail price and if you can keep it close the that this product if very worth it! Solid!

So far good equipment. Only thing it has a weird smell, but it is going away. I think they will last long.

My grandson loves them. Works out 3 times a week.

Got everything fast and they weigh what they say they do. A bit oily and smell a bit on arrival but I cleaned them up and after a couple days the smell was gone. Seller had great communication as well. Definitely worth it for a beginner/ budget home gym. P.S. sorry to the FedEx driver who almost had a stroke trying to deliver these to my door.
