Charming
These stories written by Frenchman Frederic Bibard are really charming. As an adult, I like to read them because it is an entertaining and easy way to study French. The English translation is under each paragraph. The stories teach children real quality character traits through stories about the experiences and little problems (that seem very big) that any child might go through. The audio where the author reads the stories is easily understood, although he goes straight through the stories without announcing that he is on a new chapter, lol. You have to be on your toes there. Two thumbs up for this book.

No Audio to be found
Just received this book, and there is no "audio" to be found. The introduction says we can find the audio "at the end of the book" but looking at every single page I can't find it anywhere... though I can read both languages so I'm not sure where else to look.Returning the book right away.

Great idea poor execution
I love bilingual books but this one doesn't seem to be geered towards the intended audience not many captivating pictures small print no pronouncing cues and no idea why audio included is advertised everywhere it is not not directly anyways hopefully we can use the book for references but nobody seems to stay focused on it

Audio not included
Book didn't come with an audio as advertised. Also, book does not have any illustrations and is very text heavy for a child. This could have been overcome somewhat with an audio accompaniment, but the audio was not packaged with the book. Now reading other reviews, it sounds like this is not an uncommon mistake.

Full price, half a product
As an experienced French speaker, I tried to use this book to help Hausa/French speaking house guests learn English and brush up on their French before the BAC. The English translation from French is clumsy, indicative of machine translation. For instance, in English, a child would never use an impersonal phrase such as, "It is not necessary to wake up early because...etc. We would use the verb "to have" as an expression of compulsion, along with the first person plural pronoun, and negate the whole shebang: "We do not have to get up early because...etc."So the thrust of this rant is that lots of people in this world who can sing along with Elvis think they speak English. Weird English is expected in an Amazon product description, but not in an educational tome authored by the grammatically exigent French. Why not spend a few bucks to hire a native English speaking college kid to proof the product? The publishers charge full price, but deliver half a product--along with a subtle dose of disrespect.

Huge disappointment!
This "book" is so cheaply made, and is black and white with hardly any pictures. Even the wording is weird for kids.

Easy stories but...
Easy stories but I think with my limited ability that some of the translation might be a bit iffy. Maybe that doens't matter as you still understand the story via the translation but I found some words confused me but that could simply be the nature of trying to translate from one language to another. Some of the English translation I couldn't really understand what word in French they meant if I wanted to use it again. But in general I think reading these stories over and over will help my understanding and help me to be more fluid in how I speak. It also has audio which I haven't tried yet. Suit young or older as long as you don't mind simple stories but that's what attracted me in the first place, I have more complicated stories that I am really struggling with.

Poor product support
Bought this for my daughter who's studying French in school. Has anybody a clue where to find the MP3 files? I have tried the websites listed on the back-cover of the book and only seem to be able to purchase another copy. Poor product support.

It was in good condition, but smaller than anticipated
Arrived in the estimated delivery period stated, but took longer than other items... possibly because it's in French? It was in good condition, but smaller than anticipated. Bought this as a gift for my nephew, as he's learning French, and his mother was far more interested in it than he was. Note: The audio component is not part of the physical package. There's a page in the back of the book that directs people to a website to access the audio component.
