My New Love!
I just told my husband this morning he never needs to ask what to get me for xmas or my birthday - any kind of AK paint or wash! I started with these and have since gone to a hobby store to buy more. I've always used the cheap acrylics from Michaels and they've been ok. But since using "real" paint, it's like I can't go back! I can't believe the difference. They are much more expensive so my plan is to use the cheap paint for basecoating and such and use this paint for building up and details. Attached is a penguin I carved from wood. I used the instructions and it was my first time trying to paint leather (for his leather jacket) but I think he came out pretty good! Also, he's carrying crates on his back, so used this paint also to create the look of weathered wood.
