Not one housefly is attracted to this. Sitting next to the concoction, the houseflies were all over me and not one got attracted to the mix

This is now my third purchase of these refills, and I genuinely wouldn't buy anything else. I live in a block of flats with a large communal bin, and because my flat is on the outside of the building, the entrance can get really bad for flies and bluebottles. I originally bought the twin pack with the bottles, and the difference was incredible. They lasted for months, so once they were finished I bought another twin pack. As I still have the bottles, I now just buy the refill sachets. One bit of advice I'd give anyone buying these is follow the instructions. It's really important to let the trap sit in direct sunlight after you've mixed it, as this activates the ingredients before placing it where you need it. I do have a little hack though - if the weather isn't great, I use warm water instead of cold and give the bottle a really good shake. It seems to activate much quicker and has worked brilliantly for me. Now, I won't sugar-coat it... when it comes time to empty the trap, it smells like absolute death! 🤢 I actually use a litter picker to hold the bottle while I empty it into an outside drain, then rinse it out before adding a fresh sachet and water. It's definitely not a pleasant job, but that's because it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. The last trap easily caught well over 2,000 flies - the amount inside by the time I emptied it was honestly crazy. I've also added photos of the freshly set-up traps today, and even after only a short time they've already caught a surprising number of flies. By the time these are full, the bottles are practically black with fly bodies, which really shows just how effective they are. I also tried buying refill sachets from a different brand to save a few pounds, but they were absolutely rubbish compared to these. They just didn't attract anywhere near as many flies. These are by far the most effective ones I've found, so I'll definitely be sticking with them. My only negative this time was that the refill sachets weren't inside the box when it arrived - they had come loose during transit. Thankfully they were all intact and hadn't burst, so it looks like the packaging had just taken a bit of a battering during delivery. Overall, this is a fantastic product that genuinely works. If you have a serious fly or bluebottle problem, I honestly can't recommend these enough. Just be prepared for the smell when you empty them - it's horrendous - but when you see just how many flies it's caught, you'll know it's worth it!

This is an amazing product at attracting flies. I would say it’a almost too good as I’m convinced it was causing more flies to come round the garden (nearly filled the contained within 24hrs). But, it does exactly what it says it will do so from that perspective i would rate it very highly. I knocked off a star because the batch i received from the seller was damaged (one of the packets had split open) and so had to return. Return and refund was easy tho.

These traps really do work they are a fly magnet. The only drawback is the smell.
