Multiple reviews reference "rust" colored water the first few times cleaning these. Is this actual rust or just a manufacturing residue?

I have had my granite speckled set for a few weeks and never saw any red residue. I washed them thoroughly before I first used them and several times since. No sure what people are reporting but in no way do these have any rust or rust residue coming from they they are excellent quality!

Its only for cookies?

Not at all I have made cookies, cooked bacon, and baked chicken using the pans having equal success.

Definitely not non stick , but easier cleanup. I pretty much always either cover mine with foil or use a silpat or parchment.

I wouldn’t recommend for a bird if the animal has excess to the pan. My pan flaked off the non stick after first dishwasher cycle. Company didn’t care much our offer to replace. I wouldn’t purchase.
