A revelation in sound quality
I have searched for some time for a soundbar that had the features I need to enable me to hear adequately. I have listened through a Canton DM50 sound-base for over five years and when this recently failed, I needed a replacement as I suffer age related hearing loss. It is the dialogue and the muffled mutterings of modern productions that I have real problems with so I was looking for Dynamic Range Control, a centre speaker and a good EQ to adjust dialogue and all these are available on this soundbar. The sound quality is excellent, with clear, precise phrasing from even the most indistinct muttering. The Canton was good, but not this clear. Delivery was excellent, setup was a breeze and the price was right, so if you suffer hearing loss give this soundbar a try.

Good sound, slim enough to fit under TV on stand
Sound quality is good, maybe a little bass heavy initially but that can be tuned down if you want. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X which I tested on an Xbox SX. I did not notice that much difference but it is nice to have at this price point, I assume it would make more difference if you had the additional rear wireless speakers this bar apparently supports. The remote control is infrared so it needs line of sight to the soundbar which is not really an issue. The volume controls on the remote are done by a switch which can be rocked forwards and back, and press it to mute. The woofer volume control switch is more like a bass control as muting it fully makes the bar sound tinny. Play and pause on the remote works with Bluetooth and USB devices.

Excellent Sound Quality ..Horrible Remote
My Home Cinema is a 12ft x 9ft fourth bedroom with a 6ft screen..I have an Epson 4K projector connected to a Panasonic 820UHD 4K player. Visiting a friend with a pucker Home Cinema room which he had recently kitted out with Dolby Atmos sound system. I was very impressed with his new sound system... I decided to upgrade my Soundbar and after a lot of research decided on the Samsung Q600A.It arrived the next day in an ‘L’ shaped integral box with the Sub-woofer sitting on top of the Soundbar..it was very awkward to handle and not easy to unpack without damaging the box.I initially connected it to the optical sound feed that I used previously with my Yahama Soundbar. I was rather surprised that the remote supplied did not have an easy volume adjust for either the Soundbar or the Sub-woofer ...though there was a facility on top of the soundbar where you could adjust the volume manually which in the dark is a very unsatisfactory arrangement. There is on the front left hand corner a small four digit LCD display that shows sound level, connection type and sound mode. The instructions provided were totally inadequate and I had to download the manual to get to grips with its operation. By a fiddly procedure using the remote one was suppose to be able to set up the volume control so it would work with my Panasonic 820UHD players remote to adjust the soundvolume; unfortunately I could not get this to work. In desperation I took a chance and purchased for £8 a ALLIMITY AH59-02733B Remote Control Replacement for Samsung Soundbar HW-K360 HW-K360/XY HW-K450 HW-K450/XY HW-K550 HW-K550/XY HW-K651 HW-K651/XY and I was delighted to find that it worked and I could now easily in the dark adjust the sound level from my seat. To get Dolby Atmos and DTS:X you have to use an HDMI cable connection (not the Optical cable I had been using)....fortunately my player has a second audio HDMI socket. On the remote there is a Sound Mode button that enables you to choose options such as Surround Sound- Game pro- Adaptive sound –Standard and DRC (Dynamic Range Control). There are settings for the Sub-Woofer and you can adjust Treble –Bass –Audio Sync –Centre Level – Top Level and Virtual On/Off . It should be noted that unless you purchase the additional Wireless Rear Speakers you cannot get 5.1.2 Ch audio only up to 3.1.2 Ch audio. There is the option for using Blu-tooth which I have not tried. The Soundbar has a 24volt transformer for its power supply- whereas the subwoofer plugs into the mains. The finish of the Soundbar is a smart fine mesh covering. I have settled for setting the ‘sound mode ‘to adaptive sound’ and overall I consider the sound quality and ambience that Q600A produces is very good - particularly dialogue is considerably clearer and better than from my Yahama. No doubt some of my control problems are a result of my usage as it is more intended for connecting too A Samsung TV. Overall I am pleased with my purchase ... pity about the horrible remote...hence my Four Star rating. If you are interested in buying one I suggest you download and study the manual first.

If you're used to TV speakers - you'll be blown away!
So pleased with this soundbar! Absolutely amazing quality sound and even better when films are Dolby Atmos compatible (Dune for example sound incredible).Just make sure your TV isn't out of date as we thought our 3 year old Samsung would be fine, but it turns out it doesn't support Dolby Atmos audio. This doesn't mean you can't watch or listen to Dolby Atmos films and music on an older TV, it just makes it a little more difficult. We can watch Dolby Atmos compatible films on Netflix if we use Netflix through the XBox, otherwise, it doesn't work directly through the app installed on the TV. We can also get Dolby Atmos on Plex if the audio of the film is EAC3 5.1.I would still highly recommend - even when you're not listening or watching in Dolby Atmos, the subwoofer adds the feeling aspect to music and films which don't compare with the flat, lifeless sound that comes from TV speakers.

Amazing sound for the money and simple to setup. Except ARC glitch
Just connected it to my Samsung TV by the supplied HDMI lead and away it went over the ARC. It even worked straight out the box with the TV remote volume control. The sub woofer also joined without any other setup, plus the rear matching speakers I also bought. I have had only one glitch where I lost ARC from the TV. This was frustrating for a while until I tried powering the TV off at the wall that reset it. NB using the remote to turn off the tv did not reset the ARC glitch.

It’s ok. I’m sure there’s better
It’s easy to set up. Works well with a Samsung tele to use both the speakers on the TV and the sound bar.Just not that great for surround sound effect and not all that loud really. Plus the remote seems a little fiddly and there is no display on the system to have any idea of what the settings are or even if it’s turned on etc. But overall value for money is good I’d say.
