Intermediate Accounting

This book got me through my hardest year in academia : junior year of my accounting major. I can't imagine trying to get through those classes without reading the detailed chapters and practicing the end-of-chapter questions until I got them all right. I wished there had been a book as extensive and reliable as this for my CS classes!

Every Accountant needs a recent edition of Intermediate accounting nearby. This is a recent addition at a great price in very good condition. Fit the “bill” to a “T”!

Excellent read

I'm using it for an online class. I was worried because I read some negative reviews about how it's laid out. However, it's laid out almost identically to a similar book I used for a graduate level class that covers the basics about financial and managerial accounting...which I liked. Essentially the lay out is to cover a subject from a broader perspective in the beginning, but then progressively cover more details as the text continues. Thus, elaborating on the previous broad topics. My only complaint was that an associated chapter solution guide, that an instructor can provide digitally through the WileyPlus interface, had a major error. That's not helpful when you're trying to learn how to do something as detailed and specific as Accounting. Also, sometimes these solution guides were the only tool to help you figure out how to complete/calculate exercises as the text sometimes provided too general of an approach. With an online class, you're mostly relying on the text, classmate discussion, and feedback groups/forums, to help you figure out "how to" do certain accounting processes.

The textbook was hard cover which was what I was looking for. The Wiley code worked. Much better deal then the binder version my university wanted me to buy!

This is an excellent book used by many Accounting Programs as Intermediate Accounting textbook and many accounting firms used as a reference book. I highly recommend it.

it is a good book. I reads well the only complain is the place where the words are in blue definitions...there is no hyperlink.
