Absolutely yummy vegan hazelnut spread that is a perfect alternative to Nutella!
I am vegan and try to stay gluten-free, but I like to keep a few items on hand as "comfort food" from time to time when I want to indulge a little. I've tried some brands that were supposed to be similar to this, but they did not nail the texture of it at ALL (was chunky and almost gritty? Blech!) and I had to end up throwing them away. This Nutiva Organic, non-GMO, Vegan Hazelnut Spread nailed it when it comes down to a texture and flavor close to Nutella brand. Is it low calorie? No. Is it healthy? Not really. This is one of those items that I consider as "vegan junk food," but it's still nice to have on hand as a vegan without getting tempted by the regular non-vegan name brand. It also blends and cooks well when using it for desserts. It has a rich, thick, and luxurious flavor that you can enjoy on toast, on desserts, or simply straight out of the jar on a spoon. It's tasty as heck, and no one would know that it WASN'T Nutella. I'm happy to find a vegan brand that nails the smoothness of Nutella, and a little goes a long way, so this will last me quite a while if I control myself. :) I have this on Amazon's Subscribe and Save, so I like that I get a little discount on it each month, too. My kids don't notice a difference whatsoever between this and the name brand one, so this is a big win for our household. Two thumbs up!

Tastes just like Nutella and is definitely sweet enough - BUY IT!
I didn't think I would write a review for this product, but it really is THAT good. I just felt compelled to dispel all these reviews saying it's "too bitter" or "not sweet enough" - you people must have an INSANE sugar intake and tolerance if you think that's the case because this most definitely is sweet. I honestly would not like it any sweeter, and I'm not saying that as one of those vegan health nuts that eat a date or fresh fruit for dessert. I have a pretty big sweet tooth and love rich, indulgent desserts and this definitely hits the mark. To me it tastes just like Nutella, and I went into it expecting it to taste more healthy (in a bad way) based on peoples' reviews saying it wasn't sweet enough, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised that it tasted just like I remembered before going vegan. It's a little more expensive than Nutella, sure, but it also has all organic ingredients, plus a little extra protein and much more fiber than Nutella, without the unnecessary dairy, so I think it's definitely worth it. Will definitely be buying more!

Eat at your own risk
Read the reviews. I brought the classic and the dark chocolate because I am a glutton for punishment. It was easy to spread, bitter almost inedible. Now I share that as a chocolateholic who is trying to ween my way off of chocolate. This is not a replacement for nutella. I am cheap so I am going to keep eating it. It does get better if you mix it with something sweet. Eating it on toast or with crackers is a big ask. It's definitely not for everyone. May be good for babies or the elderly. This spread tastes like 5g of sugar and has a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Good Option for Less Sugar Nutella!
Itโs a great product if your liking for a Nutella thatโs got less sugar. Itโs MUCH more watering and not as creamy as the original but if you need LESS sugar, itโs not that bad. Make sure to stir VERY well before using as itโs not thick and creamy - itโs VERY running before stirring and even after that, itโs not that creamy and thick. Itโs not a bad product, but itโs not the best either. I have it 5 stars bevause the flavor is GREAT and itโs got LESS sugar and thatโs really all I was after.

Chocolatey but too oily
Though I love that this has a great list of simple ingredients, I was definitely disappointed in the flavor. It is a nice, mild chocolate BUT there is an oily taste. I don't mean the consistency (though that is oily too), but the actual flavor is oily. I've tried to eat this on a rice cake and even mix it with a little sunflower butter...but the oily flavor is hard for me to get passed. It definitely overpowers such a mild chocolate. Some people might like this product, but I 'm definitely not going to make it through this one jar....

A higher class of chocolate hazelnut DELICIOUSNESS! And dairy-free
If you have a more refined palate, prepare for a truly grateful tongue as it sample the smooth, rich, true chocolate (with hazelnut) flavor of Nutiva. I speak French, have visited France and Belgium many times, and once thought Nutella was great. I will NEVER eat horribly sweet Nutella again. A preference for sugar like the pale Hershey or Cadbury imitations of chocolate explains any reviewer that does not prefer Nutiva. If you have sampled many varieties of Belgian chocolate and are ecstatic as a real chocolate morsel melts deliciously on your tongue, then try Nutiva. I just realized that Nutiva offers a dark chocolate version, and I'm curious to try it now because one way to describe regular, red-label Nutiva would be a higher cacao content, aka darker than Nutella. Try Nutiva: You can always mix with sugar & a little milk if you decide you prefer the less chocolatey, Nutella version. Nutiva is thicker than Nutella; it will need to be stirred if it has been sitting awhile before opening, more like natural peanut or almond butter rather than Skippy. Savoring Nutiva on brioche has enabled a vast increase in the lifetime of my stash of Belgian chocolat (a quarter of my carryon on my last flight back was Belgian chocolate bars!). Nutiva on brioche plus espresso or a latte... Mmmm. I prefer fine wine, whiskey (from Scotch to Bourbon), and Nutiva classic chocolate hazelnut spread!

Was hoping to enjoy this product
I bought this one time hoping to satisfy my Nutella cravings. I gave up dairy July 2021, and have been a vegan since that date. As a vegan, I donโt normally eat junk food, or much of anything thatโs highly processed and refined. Usually sticking to smoothies and salads, etc. I bought this to treat myself to see if a vegan Nutella alternative existed. I now know no such product exists. I didnโt even apply this product to a piece of bread, I just sampled it with a spoon and knew, the rest of it belonged in the garbage, toilet, drain, wherever, just not in my body. The flavor reminded me as if I was tasting cheap brownie batter. Just severely disappointed. I suppose it takes $6 to learn where not to spend another $6. Cut my losses, back to the healthy foods. But if you like it, good for you. ๐

Decadently chocolate; no dairy!
This is lovely! I was pleased to find the spread as my husband cannot have dairy. It has an easily spreadable consistency, and has an amazing dark chocolate flavor. It is the only chocolate hazelnut spread that I have tried in which the chocolate flavor is strong enough to taste when combined with jam, peanut butter, or other flavors. I have tried Nutella, Nocciolata, and other spreads, but this one is my favorite. Many reviews here compare the spread with Nutella, for better or worse. This is different to Nutella, but I prefer it for both consistency and flavor. Nutella is much sweeter, oilier, and thinner as a spread. A number of reviews express concerns about palm oil as an ingredient. Palm oil features in all of the spreads mentioned, so this is no worse (for its use) than any of the others. Our Nutiva arrived off of a very cold truck. It was so stiff that I could not even stir it. After it sat on the kitchen counter for about 40 minutes, it was perfect. It has maintained the "perfect" consistency ever since, but I now understand why this cannot be refrigerated! I highly recommend Nutiva spread if you are a chocolate lover, and particularly, if you do not tolerate dairy. It is delicious!
