This stool is very durable and well made. I have had it for three years, use it almost daily to get into my truck, and have had no problems with it. I would purchase it again if the need arose.

From the ground/floor to the top of the platform is approximately 6 3/4” (6.75”). I hope this answers your question.

Q: What is the distance between feet?

When the legs are open the distance between the two long ones is 17 inches. The distance between the two legs on the shorter sides is 11 in. I love this step stool it's easy to handle and when you close the legs it's very easy to store it. It's very sturdy.

Q: Can a 250 lb person stand with both feet on the platform?

That would really depend on the size of their feet. Maybe briefly but not for an extended time
