Does this fit a 7mm, 9mm, or 12mm (or all three) thickness types of 2.5 drives?

The answers you have received are correct. This is designed for the 7mm and 9mm 2.5" drives that are 2TB or smaller. However, I can admit that without the outter case on (like John said) it will work with 12mm drives. I currently have 2x 5TB Seagates 12mm drives in mine. You just have to live with the drives showing. As for String Theory's answer, putting Firecuda SSHD's is a good idea only if you are using them as single drives or Raid 1. Raid 0 eliminates the use of the SSD caching system like indicated over on the Seagate website.

How many GB does it have?

To make sure what the topic is here, my comments are just about the Vantec enclosure and not about whatever drive + enclosure Vantec may sell. My drive, for what it's worth, though, and it doesn't matter, was a 225 GB HP drive pulled out of motherboard-fried HP laptop. I wanted to keep it because there was nothing wrong with it to hook as an external USB drive to either my desktop or a tablet.

Can this be powered by sata port?

Thanks for asking. This 2.5" drive enclosure (NST-266SU3-BK) has two external interfaces, eSATA or USB 3.0. If you are using USB 3.0 connection, the USB 3.0 cable will provide power to the drive, this called Bus-powered. If you are using eSATA, it comes with eSATA cable and a power cable to connect and get power via USB port. Has anyone converted their old ps4 hdd using this?

Great for mounting 2 X 2.5" hard drives or SSD.

I bought this to mount 2 X SSDs for a NAS based on the Raspberry Pi 4. Very handy for keeping the drives in one enclosure. The pre-drilled screw holes make it easy to mount in a standard 3.5" drive rack, or mount to other types of frames.

Works better than expected.

I connected 2 ssd drives, different sizes and they went in easily. Connected them to my smart TV, worked first-time! I'd worried about if they needed a power supply. It came with a US style 2 prong mains plug. Useless in the UK, I'd need an adaptor. But the tv's USB socket is powered so no need for an external power supply after all. Great! Super! This cheap setup replaces a non-functioning £200 media box connected to my TV. Very happy customer. Don't use the RAID facility.

Compact and easy to assemble,great for Xbox series x

This is a solid built compact raid enclosure . It was easy to assemble . I bought this to make an external drive for my Xbox series X using two 1 TB SSD's. It did take a bit to get it to work but since then it has been issue free. In order to make it work you need to configure it on a PC before attaching to the console. First and most important only plug into the motherboard not a case USB or USB hub( this was 90% of my issues it would recognize the drive and then randomly disconnect ,as soon as I tried using mobo USB no issues) second ...most drives are not formatted out of the box .If you do not have the ability to initialize before installing into the case ,install one and initialize and remove it and do the second ,then remove from USB and install both drives and reconnect and it should work from there . It took a bit to figure it out but was worth it two 1tb SSD's striping are a must for the Xbox series x .I transferred a 133 gb game in about 6 minutes where it would take 20+ on a conventional and about 5 mins between the internal and additional storage on the console...it's a must have if you as me.Now if you don't use the console for a week or so it will turn off the drive and you will need to plug and unplug it to turn back on,and as far as being used on the console the power cord is optional as the USB will power it.
