Easy to use no tool curtain rod!
I really liked the rod because it keeps me from using screws. I do not like screws and in a rental, that is not good. I saw this rod on amazon and decided to give it a try. The rod is overall, easy to use. You simply take it out of the package and pull the extending side to fit securely to your window. The only frustrating part for me was figuring out how to tighten the rod to keep it from moving. I did follow instructions but the rod kept moving. Therefore, I decided to put a small mark on the rood so that I could tighten it where it needs to go even if it moves. This helped a lot. To tighten you need to twist in the middle to get it to work. I have vertical curtains and they had a curtain box onlver. I was able to install this rod under the box and added the curtain. I ended up covering the box with a black cloth so it would not show. The first picture shows the rod with the curtain on..the finished look. The other picture shows how the rod latches on to the wall and you can partly see the curtain box covered by the black cloth. I installed the rod under it.Hope this helps!

Don't waste your time or money.
I really wanted to love these, but they are the worst. My apartment was just rebuilt after being destroyed in a fire, and I was reluctant to put unnecessary holes in my nice, new, walls. I thought tension rods would be the way to go, but I was VERY wrong. I bought two of these for my bedroom, thinking how great it was to find tension rods that are also room darkening. Both rods have fallen multiple times, and both my husband and I have each put them up, so I find it doubtful that both of us are unable to properly use these simple type of rods. Not only do they fall, but without fail they fall in the middle of the night and scare the crap out of me, and have caused my neighbor below me to complain to my building's management. They are also very hard to readjust once they are locked into place. I had contacted the manufacturer who directed me to the instructional videos on its website, but the one video that is available is for another type of rod that is screwed into the wall. And although I purchased these in order to avoid damage to my walls, these still damaged my window box by causing indents into the wood. I wouldn't have minded one set of indents, which would be covered by the rod, but with all the falling out and putting back in, there are now multiple indents and scratches on the wood. The fact that the wood got indented proved to me that the rods had been tight enough inside the window, but somehow they keep falling out. And I only have one curtain on each rod, not a set of two on either side of the window. It got to the point that I no longer tie the curtains back during the day because I don't want to touch the curtain at all to make it fall. Right now one rod is up, but we have left the one that fell recently and just tucked the curtain into the top window. I plan on purchasing new, regular screw-mount rods. I may try the other rod that Kenney Manufacturing makes, as it has the look I like, but I am still a bit skeptical.

Simply 'Rod' on Time! LOL!
I needed a better solution for the doorway for the room curtains that functions as a door. The prior tension rod just wasn't cutting the mustard and I needed an update and/or improvement. I just went searching on Amazon and honestly didn't know that this type of curtain rod existed. Boy, was I happy to have found it, but was skeptical because upon reading how it worked, I couldn't grasp the concept? I received the package and crossed my fingers. OMG! It took me all of 5 to 10 minutes to put up! It made and makes a greater difference and the curtains I chose work absolutely PERFECT for the rod! I was concerned about weight of the fabric being opened, closed and pulled back over time, but so far, so very good! :-)

The media could not be loaded. Currently renting and we aren't allowed to drill holes in the wall. We needed to hang blackout curtains for our baby's room sooooo glad we found this rod!! We use an additional curtain to put over the blackouts. We have two curtains hanging and they have held on since installation. Definitely recommend this product.Update: I bought two others so a total of three for other bedrooms, but those didn't hold up as well. One has fallen on my head multiple times when closing the curtains. Ouch. Not sure if the tightening mechanism is loose on this specific rod or what but yes. Still a good buy just not 100% of the time.
