Can i use it by myself,?

Yes you can use it by yourself I've used it for the past 8 years by myself you can be creative and using pillows to hold it in place sit in a chair or on the couch in order to reach your back lay on your side on your bed and prop a pillow up behind it. I like the extra handle I can hold it with one hand.... Where there's a will there's a way...

Can you adjust the width of the vibrating nodes?

this machine is great, it has several vibration adjustments but the nodes are fixed cannot be put further apart Great machine Love it
