Lineco Self-Adhesive Linen Hinging Tape, White, 1.25 Inch x 35 Feet

I appreciated being able to find archival tape to hang a painting securely. A few small pieces of this linen hanging tape securely fitted the paper to the mat inside the metal frame. I did find it somewhat difficult to separate the tape’s backing film from the linen, but I eventually got the hang of it. The tape itself was not overly sticky but did feel very secure.

This is a convenient, modern alternative to the classic linen tape I used when for archival framing when was in the picture framing industry. I used it to mount all my watercolor paintings for a recent show and love the ease and the look of the tape. Will only use this moving forward!

I am an artist and I've just started cutting my own mats. This product was just what I needed for hinging my pastel and watercolor paintings. It is thin and unobtrusive- yet sturdy. The adhesive is sticky enough to hold, but can also be removed. As with any adhesive and paper, remove on an angle slowly and carefully for the best results. I have lifted fibers from the paper by not being cautious enough. Using a product that is acid free and archival is important to me and this tape meets those standards. It is easy to work with, I've had no trouble removing the backing to expose the adhesive side, and can be trimmed to whatever size you need. As I tend to work on a smaller scale, I expect this product to last me quite awhile also. I would recommend Lineco Self Adhesive Linen Hinging Tape.

This is the only tape that I use for mounting photos and it works great. It is a nice quality linen tape and acid free to avoid damaging photo prints. It applies easily and always holds very well but has always been very easy to remove when needed without causing any damage. I wish the roll was a little bigger for the price but not that big of a problem because such a small amount is needed to properly mount a photo, this 35 foot roll can go a very long way in my use case.

Repurchased several times for my picture framing hobby. One roll lasts a long time, and the tape is the perfect amount of (nondamaging) sticky. Much better than masking tape or painters tape for mounting pictures inside frames.

This was perfect for safely attaching antique cigarette cards to the mount. I was anticipating it might be tricky, but the linen tape was very easy to use - highly recommend.
