Not much padding

I wanted this as - a soft place to land when I go on adventures. I like sitting on the floor and ground. I was sitting in the dirt feeding an animal and got bug bit, so to save my rear, I easily sling this around my wrist with the rope that is attached to the carry bag and simply unfold it down in place.What is special and different -· It folds into a compact little carry item. I just fold it and it slides into it's little matching black carry bag.Main points - Size - 14" x 11" Weight - 5oz*THE CONS - None really. It is not real thick, but the point is to make it compact and portable.*MY EXPERIENCE - Opening the package I find - a little bag with a cushion in it. The feel is - soft, but it has a firmness about it. I get a sense of - easy to bring this along, sit on the ground a lot. *I tested to see if the - cushion was comfortable and well sewn - it is comfortable, thin, but firm. It is sewn well.*CONDITION - The package arrived in good shape, on time, and the sale was smooth. No problems. :-)*CONSTRUCTION - It is a quality design and good quality construction. I ordered this foldable seat cushion so that it would be more comfortable to sit on bleachers or while out camping. It is very convenient because it fold up accordion style and comes in its own carrying bag. But after receiving it, ive realized how thin it is. It will do in a pinch to keep your clothes clean and provide a barrier between you and the ground but there's not much padding at all. As soon as I sat on it, it flattened down so it felt like I was sitting on the floor. It will be better than sitting directly on the ground but doesnt add any great comfort.

This Seat Cushion is kind of right down the middle. It is GREAT in it's simplicity. It's comes in it's own bag,easily portable and folds for easy storage. It's just the right size for an AVERAGE tush. It kept my bum dry and warm while sitting on the bleachers this fall for tennis and I'll be sure to use it for baseball this spring. BUT...I wouldn't call it much of a cushion. It's really quite thin and not really soft. I solely use this to keep my tush dry, warm and clean on the bleachers.

When I placed the order for this cushion I was well aware of its size and the use I intended for it. I ordered this cushion to take along with my daypack or backpack. Many times when I go hiking I do take breaks for resting or for eating and seating on the ground is not always the best. This pad saves my bottom from the hard or damp soil. It is lightweight at only 4 ounces in weight. The pad is constructed of a tough nylon with high density foam inside (not soft squishy foam). The pad is for protecting myself from sitting in direct contact with hard and in many cases damp terrain. The pad stores in its own bag with a draw string. If you use a pad on damp or muddy ground you would not like to place it back inside of your backpack. The carrying bag allows me to hang it on the outside of the pack or to place it on the exterior pockets of my backpack. The pad provides a little cushioning, protection from dampness and the cold ground. This is what I was just looking for.

a little thin but that is what makes it foldable. It is still comfortable and easy to take with in its own little carry bag . Using it in my Kayak but I can see it as a stadium seat or on a lawn chair or anywhere else you butt needs a little softness
