So it works! Just slowly, and obviously old scars being even longer. I have deep old/dark scars on my bottom that are healing slowly. The small newer ones on my stomach heal within a month of use. My only is the size of the tube! Directions say to use once a day and that it can take up to 6 months on old scars... Knowing that, why don't they make a bigger size!? I'm on my 5th tube now and I started 3 months ago. It's annoying. Also when you think you're out, you aren't! Cut it open! There is a lot left in the tube that doesn't come out when you squeeze. Effectiveness: Yes it works, just slow. Stay consistent! Value for money: Pricy for a small tube. Overall: I'm happy and will continue to buy. This is the only thing that works on my old dark scars from acne.

This works! Even on crows feet and micro wrinkles. Great for scars, and fresh incisions that need to heal well. I know a person who had much work on their face, leaving many scars and places of deep scrapping. Ugh. This product was remarkable. I watched them change to their former soft skin, and profoundly less scars. The product goes on in gel form. Little tube to take wherever you may need, like travel. Mederma does NOT sting. Smooth and light feeling while on the skin. I am so pleased to be introduced to this product and I highly recommend. ❤️. My son skinned his knee really badly and it left a gnarly scar on his knee. I started applying this scar gel daily and the scar is almost all the way gone! The gel dries quickly as well! Great quality product!

Feels good but is ineffective. I still have the scar from my circumcision.

Recently realized after receiving a nasty cut that the bottle of Mederma I had on hand (the larger bottle) was ancient, as far as medicine goes. The old one was almost empty and its gel discolored, so I decided it was time for a new one. Far better price than what my local drugstore was selling them for as well. It's very thin, and a little goes a long way as far as coverage goes. Absorbs pretty quickly in a thin layer. Consistency is key, these things take time. I like to apply before bed, so I'm not worried about washing it off. It may itch a little, but that's the chemichals doing their job.

Rarely do I write reviews for products. However, being so impressed with this product’s effectiveness, here’s me experience. My dermatologist drained a cyst on my cheek. On what is the most incredibly visible part of my cheek. I thought it would heal…maybe in a week or two. Sad to say, it was still so red and incredibly visible that after 6 weeks, I wondered if I should have gone to a plastic surgeon or if this is something I’ll just have to live with, as unfortunately distracting as it may be. After having no visible difference using silicone scar sheets, I really didn’t think this would work. I made another appointment with my dermatologist to assess what could be done. This scar gel arrived several days before my appointment. By the time I went to the dermatologist, yes, within days…the scar was greatly improved. Now, after using it for under 3 weeks, it is practically gone. I highly recommend this.
