Calcium Testing kit instructions call for checking the water changing from pink to purple to blue.......my tanks all went pink to blue, but the only reference photo they give is a single purple square that never matched my colors.......the master test kit it awesome, but I'd pass on the calcium test, which were both the same price

This is my go to test kit for calcium. It is easy to use and the color change is readily discernable. I cant comment on accuracy of the test, but I am able to generate consistent numbers. The reason that I rate this at 4 rather than 5 is because each test requires 10 drops of reagent 1. However, for each test if you have typical levels of calcium in your reef, one would use 20 drops (roughly) of reagent 2. This means that you will consume all of reagent 2 and only about half of reagent 1. All API would need to do is increase the volume of reagent bottle 2 (and charge a little more) to get more tests from the kit.
