I bought this desk to work while sitting on the couch. i’m a graphic designer so most work is online and I need to change up my seating arrangement sometimes. This desk is perfect! I didn’t have to assemble, no weird chemical smell lol, and I love the drawer which is perfect for writing utensils. The right side is perfect for a mouse. AND it’s great for art! The flat immobile but makes it perfect to place paints. It even came with an easel-like stopper AND a good quality sketchbook, which I wasn’t expecting, so it was a nice surprise 🙂🧡 Just in time for inktober.Note: The ONLY thing I’d complain about is the legs. I love that they are adjustable but the adjustable height is not always completely sturdy. And one side of the metal locks does not fit in the hole, so that leg won’t lock all the way (view second image). But it hasn’t been much of an issue so far.

Just received this product for my daughter who is doing online classwork. Out of the box very impressed with quality. Desk top is smooth and solid, legs are easy to adjust and have a small metal “locking” mechanism which can lock the legs open or lock them closed by turning the metal piece around, as well as, the legs being easily adjustable to different heights. Drawer on side is small but can hold the removable stopper when placed diagonally. Overall very attractive color and finish.My daughter can easily use this with legs in lowest height position but would need to adjust to higher position if for any reason she wanted to lift her legs more than a few inches up in the air.Easily wide enough for a laptop computer and notebook to be placed side by side.Only small hitch I noticed are the magnets that hold the adjustable/ laptop area of the top of the desk closed are a bit weak. Only comes into play when holding the unit sideways (or upside down) to move from one place to another and that part of the top did fall open once. Stronger magnets there would be nice but it is easily remedied by making sure to carry the desk top on the side where that top piece opens (or not upside down) . This way you are naturally holding it closed with your hand (It only popped open one time and I originally didn’t know the magnets were under the top)Seems like it will be durable enough to get her through many years of use.

I read a lot of bad reviews on a lot of brands of bamboo desks like this one, so I chose the one that seemed to at least not have that many bad reviews.Mine arrived in good shape. Smoothly finished, no splinters, and the legs are smooth and okay on the blankets. Book stand, wire stand stop, drawer, leg screws, and book ledge all work fine. Book ledge pushed easily into place and has stayed put. Drawer is able to hold a regular pen stored diagonally and a few cough drops or things of that nature. It stays closed. It has a magnet catch which helps. It's well fitted and opens and closes nicely. Leg adjusting screws are tight and stay in position. There are a couple of circular notches in the legs which helps the screw bite in to the wood to keep from sliding.Magnets are not strong enough to hold tilting stand shut when moving. This doesn't bother me much. It opens easily and adjusts to several angles. The wire stand works well.The legs have little metal pins or locks that are supposed to lock the legs in the open position, but the pins are too short to do the job at all. It doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the desk though. Just have to keep in mind the legs don't lock into place. Once it is set in place the legs stay put.Desk height is fine for me. Several inches of clearance so I can move my legs without upsetting the tray.It's a good width and doesn't take over the bed. My husband can rest next to me without being crowded.It's light enough that I can move it to the side myself when I want to sleep.The bamboo seems sturdy and has a nice finish and is a pretty color.I would recommend this one, if you are going to get one of the many bamboo bed desks out there. It has the same minor problems with lid magnets and leg latches but otherwise I'm quite happy with it. It's making life a lot easier for me and the price point is fair. Would recommend.

The legs are easy to use and adjust. The angled top is perfect for painting! I have been using it almost daily! The sketch book that came with it is also great! Nice thick paper. My cat has also decided to use it for her own art. If you have a cat, maybe keep it up away from them as the cover is apparently great for sharpening claws.
