How much does it shrink in length?

I cut a 1.00 inch long piece of 2.00 inch diameter with a wall thickness of .030 and gave it a "MAX Shrink". Final dimensions were a length of .925 with an outside diameter of .570 and with a wall thickness of .099. These are actual numbers you can use to hit specific dimensions that you need. Haven't a clue where the"twice the lay flat number" comes into play but HS Math teaches C=πD=2πR and this material has a 3 to 1 "3:1" shrink ratio for "circular" or cylindrical objects.

Will the adhesive be difficult to remove after removing the tubing from glass, or will it leave a messy residue?

I haven't tried it on glass, but I have tried it on metal. I shrunk it onto a metal pipe, then slit it lengthwise and peeled it off. There was no residue on the pipe.
