Makes a great cup of coffee
No frills, no programmable feature, just good coffee. Because I was drinking more than two cups of coffee every morning, my preference was for a maker with a stainless steel pot that kept coffee reasonably hot, without having to worry about forgetting to shut the coffee maker heating element off. Now that the limit is one-two cups a day, this maker is perfect because the coffee from this glass carafe Mueller has the best flavor of all...and why I kept using this one (which was originally bought as a back up for when my maker with a carafe died since not willing to go without a morning cuppa, so always have an inexpensive backup waiting in the pantry). FYI: I've had no mold issues since I made it a practice to remove the grounds, rinse the insert holding a filter, and fully open the lid after pouring the first cup. Later the lid is lowered but kept partially open while stored until next morning. Am writing this review now, after receiving a courtesy email from Amazon re: class action lawsuit. Seems this little gem is not made in Austria at all, despite how it is portrayed in descriptions. Maybe that has something to do with how soon other comments talk about their coffee maker's stopping performing after a year or two. Don't know...purchased May 2022, will keep enjoying its great cuppa until its demise, then using the back-up until maybe purchasing this one again.

Best value coffee maker
This is a great machine for the price. It’s easy to use and the coffee tastes great. The drip head has a diffuser on it that evenly distributes the hot water over my favorite brew. It has an auto stop so you can sneak a cup or two halfway through the brewing. It also has a warming plate. It doesn’t have a timer or strength settings but I wouldn’t expect that for what I paid. Highly satisfied

Worth 4 Stars Due to Price Only & Overall Functionality
I didn't rush to provide my review of this product, as I used it past its useful lifespan for nearly 3 years, but there were problems that got progressively worse that made it no longer usable. There are no frills on this coffeemaker, no timer, temperature or flow adjustment, just a basic coffeemaker to brew up to 12 cups in a glass coffee pot, with a heating element to keep it hot. First, the good stuff: A) I liked the convenience of the permanent filter, so I no longer had to use the paper filters; B) it brewed a good tasting pot of coffee, but it took a while longer than other models; plus, C) it was very inexpensive when I bought it during an Amazon sale. That's about it for the good part. Now the not so good: D) Each and every time I brewed a pot of coffee, water would drip from around the top of the coffeemaker down the sides, because the lip of the lid goes outside the entire reservoir, allowing condensation to collect around it and drip all over; E) due to all the condensation on the lid, which doesn't dissipate on its own, all of it flows to the back of the lid when it's opened, and flows out along the back of the coffeemaker, creating a small puddle of water on the countertop, which also flows underneath the coffeemaker; F) A leak developed from the bottom of the unit at about 18 months, which appeared to be coming from the reservoir, and it was obviously past the warranty for free replacement. Ultimately, this was a good coffeemaker for the price, but I feel the overall design was lacking and the plastic seemed to be affected by age and the temperatures created by the normal operation of it. This wasn't exposed to harmful direct sunlight or heat, sitting on a countertop for the entire time. If you want a cheap coffeemaker that brews a good pot of coffee, can deal with some of the issues shared, then it's worth the price.

Great coffee maker!
I've had this coffee maker for 4 years and it still works like a charm.

Creates a huge mess too often. Coffee grinds everywhere.
I used Mr. coffee for 30 years but bought this on 07/31/21 21 to save $10. Big mistake. At least five times the lid has closed but the basket has not been securely in place. Once you hit brew you have a huge mess on your hands. Coffee grinds go everywhere. Pain in the rear to clean up all the grinds wash down the basket in the actual maker itself along with the counter and floor. Also I am one to just dump the water into the Reservoir. This machine requires someone use a lot more finesse. Seems to leak a lot creating small puddles on my countertop that I have to wipe away later. Daily when I remove the basket to throw out the grinds there is in evitable he a mess on the ground as the grinds are falling out at some point. I use my Dustbuster to wipe it up along with wet wipes. I am throwing in the towel. I don’t know why I missed the price of a mr coffee went up $10-$15 in the last year and tried to buy a replacement pot but that cost more than a new machine. Just bought the black and decker one and hope that based on my positive experience with their products that I don’t have the same issue with this one. I had a Black & Decker toaster oven for 25 years. Let’s hope the same for this Mr. coffee replacement.

No Frill's, Simple to use and Brew's very HOT!
First you've got to understand, with a $25 price tag there is no added attractions with this........on, off, hot coffee at the right temp, and there is no 'mother board', and that is it. The only electrical with this unit is the Brewing Heating Coil, the Keep Hot after brew cycle, and an On-Off switch, that's it. Brewed six pots, without issue......of course they supply a BS Filter Screen that will not require a paper filter, cleaning then becomes a pain in the $&(@#, rinsing-out the Screen Filter using a gallon of fresh water. The Melitta Filters Sz 8-12 Cup (200 ea) run $3.99 and they fit perfectly. Very happy with this Austrian made maker and cost about as much as 4 Large Mocha's from you're local Coffee Shop! Almost forgot, run thru a 12 Cup Brew Cycle without a filter, as it was suggested to me, small chunk/sliver of plastic. Thank you Mueller!

Broke within few months but customer service was good
I bought this in October 2022 because I wanted a basic functioning coffee maker that didn't take up much space. It did have the issue where the condensation on the underside of the lid after a brew cycle would run down the back of the machine when you opened the lid, so I would have to towel that up. And then it just stopped working on February 4, 2023. The green power light would turn on but the warming plate wouldn't heat up and it just wouldn't brew the coffee. It was just past the Amazon return window, so I contacted the manufacturer, who said it was covered under the warranty and that I didn't need to return it and they sent me a replacement right away, which I appreciated.... except the replacement was very obviously used. The filter had some dried coffee grounds in it and was stained. The spout in the lid that the water comes out of was also stained, and so was the warming plate, which was also scratched up. I was shocked and disgusted and immediately contacted the manufacturer again. They got back to me right away again and apologized profusely and said that they don't send out used machines so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it must have been some sort of mix up at the warehouse. They also gave me a full refund credited back to the card that I had used and again said I didn't need to return anything, so that was very much appreciated. So the machine didn't last very long but the customer service was excellent.

Great coffee maker for the price, but a little lightweight
We were looking for an inexpensive coffee maker to bring out over the holidays, and this one fit the bill. I’ve been testing it out this week and it works fine, and I especially like the permanent filter (SO much easier to discard grounds, avoiding the mess/expense of paper filters). My only complaint is that overall the whole thing is pretty lightweight, to the point that it tends to slide across my countertop when I try to put the pot back on it, or try to flip the switch off with one hand. Not a deal breaker (or a reason to spend twice as much on something else), but that’s the only issue I’ve run across…otherwise zero complaints, and would buy it again under the circumstances.
