Beisen Hardware Key Safe Realtor Lock Box with Set-Your-Own Combination Lock

My wife is in hospice care, and while I was out running errands a few days after I came home, I realized, sitting at a traffic light, that I should be worried about what would happen to her if I got hit by another vehicle (it's happened before). So searching around, I found that if I got a lockbox and put a house key in it, gave her and her hospice care the combination (and put the dog behind closed doors) I wouldn't have to worry so much. If I didn't return in a reasonable amount of time, she could call for help. So far, so good. I spent a lot of time looking at reviews on Amazon before settling on the Beisen Hardware lock as the best choice I can find. I've tested it (and the spare key!) several times, without problems. Also good for when our daughter forgets to take her key with her!

The box is quite large considering the small amount of space available for key storage. It fits my large "do not duplicate" house key, but not the tiny key chain attached to it, which would have been nice as I use this for my guest house. Also, im pretty sure I could force the box open without a tremendous amount of effort... But if an intruder were planning to break in to your home, it would be easier to force the door/window than mess with the box. A good buy nonetheless.

My son kept losing his house key and I kept running out of places to hide them outside the house I bought this hows that saying "it's been the best thing since sliced bread" lol.once he's in he put the key on the table I put it back in the key safe it's safer and it's easy directions and hard sturdy plastic 6 months no more keys misplaced or lost.

This is a good product. I read the instructions carefully before I even attempted to set my own combination, and I've had no problems. I have one in my building outside my door in case I forget my apartment key, and I'm buying another one to keep outside the building in case I forget the key for the outer door.

It works. Last time I needed to open the lock box, it was very wet inside. I assume a hard rain must have blown into the covered area the box is kept.

The lock would not reset per the instructions. My husband read another review that said to take the lock apart and line up the numbers. He did that and then it worked. It should NOT be necessary to "fix" a new item!NOLA girl

Followed instructions to the T, and it won't open.... I'm a Real Estate Agent so I know how to use these...

Works just fine for a fraction of the cost. I got 8 listings at once and had to augment my eKeys.
