TLDR: good printer, works with eero wifi mesh system, set up in less than 10 minutes - great step-by-step instructions via HP Smart app. If you need a basic printer for occasional printing that's super easy to setup, get this. I initially bought the Canon Pixma MG3620. Downloaded their app to get things setup and what a nightmare. I have an eero wifi and the PIXMA printer would not show up on initial scan. I would select scan again after clicking a series of buttons on the printers and then it would popup only to show my wireless network listed 4 times with me being left to determine which one I connected to. I assumed it didn't matter but it did given after selecting 1 and inputting the password, it wouldn't connect. I would click the series of buttons on the printer again to begin the process again only to have all the wifi networks show up (mine + other networks it found) but in a totally different order. This meant I couldn't even weed out each of my 4 networks to find which one was right. Also, the one time I did manage to get it to connect, I had to set my eero wifi in legacy mode for it to connect. As soon as I removed it from legacy mode, the printer began failing again only for me to begin attempting to get it connected again. I looked on many forums but eventually couldn't find a solution as many other people had issues as well. Why do I mention the printer above? Because I then bought THIS hp printer and simply downloaded the app, plugged in the printer, turned it on, and followed the step-by-step instructions (with animations) and it immediately found my network and connected. No duplicate entries, no hassle, it just worked. I was printing within minutes. I then tested printing on my mac, my downstairs PC, and my phone with AirPrint and it all just worked. I spent almost 2 hours on the canon printer troubleshooting and it was just a huge headache. As for print quality between the two, I couldn't tell you, but if you just need a basic occasional printer, you can't beat this for the price and simplicity. Hope this helps.

I had no problem setting this printer up. That being said, I am a millennial. No offense to the older generation, but if you are not one who is privy to technology or its many advances, this printer will not be the easiest for you to set up... To make things easier for those that might struggle with setup, here they are in layman terms: 1. Take Printer out of the box. 2. Take off all wrapping. 3. Plug it in and turn it on. 4. Slide up the back printer paper tray. 5. The blue marker in the middle of the space on this this tray, needs to be slid over to the left, before you can add paper. You might have to pull it forward and up before you can slide. 6. Open the bottom panel, open the inner door, unwrap the ink and insert the cartridges as directed by the illustrated guide. 7. Get your smartphone, because this is how you are going to be setting this up. If you don't have one, then you have to go to 123.hp.com and set it up that way, but it's highly recommended to use the app on the phone. 8. Download HP Smart from the apple store or the play store. 9. Select the first option to set up a new printer. As long as the Wi-Fi light on the printer is flashing and the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth light is on, on the smartphone you should return a result of your new printer. 10. From there, set up your new account or log in with your current HP account if you already have one.' This took me all of five minutes to do, not long at all. Very easy set up for someone who is technology-savvy or who is able to follow instructions well. Make sure to hit that you are replacing your old printer if that is what you are doing as well. If you want to set it up on a desktop, you can go to 123.hp.com To me, this isn't hard to, but I do think that HP could have laid out the instructions much better than they did. It's like they assumed that everyone would understand to get out their smartphones and set up their printer like there was no problem at all. They need to work on that and make it more user-friendly. The printer itself is great. Nothing is broken, connected easily, looks very nice, and is printing wonderfully. I would highly recommend this printer to others as long as they are comfortable with this type of setup process.

This is by far the worst printer I have ever "rented." I say "rented" because you won't own the printer. HP will shut off your ability to use the printer if you don't pay for their subscription service. I already had a bad feeling about this printer on the first day. I work in IT from home and had an easy enough time setting the printer up. I installed the ink that came with the printer, printed a couple of test pages, and left it alone. The next day while working, I needed to print a document for work. I go to select print, and nothing happens. Then I get a notification that the printer is out of ink. Well, fine. I assumed the first ink that came with it only had enough for a couple of prints, so I replaced the ink. Page prints. OK. A couple of weeks later, I need to print something else. I go to print, and nothing happens. I check my settings, and the printer is offline. I see all the indicator lights are on, so I assume the printer has gone to sleep, so I press the power button once. Nothing. I start pressing other buttons, trying to wake it. Nothing. Finally, I hold down the power button, and still, nothing happens. The printer does not power cycle. Finally, I unplug the printer, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Then it finally powers up and allows a print. Fast forward a couple more weeks, and I need to make a print. (As you can tell by now, I do not have the need to print a lot.) So, I try to print, and nothing. I am about to get back into settings and get a notification pop-up that tells me that payment for my subscription plan has failed and that I will not be allowed to print until I change the payment method. OK, I understand why the subscription payment failed, and it was because I was issued a new card after the old one showed up with a fraudulent charge and I had the card replaced and simply forgot to update the information on the HP subscription. So... card was updated, and I was allowed to print. The thing that really started making me angry at that point was that I had used this ink cartridge maybe three times total on three one-page prints. The ink was full. So, here I was, trying to print on a printer I paid for in full, along with HP's stupid printer cartridges, and yet, they had control of the printer and decided when I could and could not use it. Fast forward again. I go to make a print, and the printed document comes out all faded. I print another copy, and it still looks faded and blank in spots. I remove the ink cartridge, shake it, and replace it. Still, another faded print. Finally, I replace the ink cartridge (which should still be full at this point), and then, you guessed it, I got my print. On to the next print. I go to make a print, and it shows the paper is empty. I see there are a few sheets left in the carriage. I stick in about a 1/4" stack of paper. The printer shows empty. I tap the paper stack down to make sure it is meeting the rollers. Still empty. I take out half of the paper stack and still nothing. I remove about half of that, and THEN it finally registers the paper. Apparently, the printer only works when it is loaded with about 15 sheets of paper at a time. Literally every single time I have tried to use this horrible thing, I have to spend 15-20 minutes troubleshooting. The latest thing it does now is to go offline every day. It won't reconnect with a power cycle or reboot. You have to go back in and set up the WiFi settings each time. I only need to make a print every now and then, and each time has been like building a printer from scratch. It would be faster to drive to Walgreens, make the prints, and drive back home. I will NEVER purchase another HP product after this. This entire experience has been a complete insult as a customer.

As a budget item, it's fine for casual home use. However, there are two things to note: 1. The ink cartridges that come with the printer won't last long as there isn't much ink in them. After printing the initial alignment page (it auto renders in color for it), the ink level monitoring software automatically opened / popping up on my screen and graphically showing the level of the color ink cartridge was "down one notch" from full. Really, from just printing the alignment page? Bad HP, Bad Indeed. As a set, the regular HP replacement ink cartridges will set a person back almost $50 so, as it's been for years now, these inexpensive combo printers are a money grab for the ink required to use them. Fortunately, I don't print much at all these days so the included tiny cartridges will probably last me many months. I do not recommend the HP Ink Program; it's a shortcut used by HP to get quicker access to consumers' money and from what I've read online about it, it's ink monitoring software is skewed to influence the frequency of the automatic ink orders; so not cool HP! Plus, in addition to the expensive HP Ink being shipped more frequently than actually necessary, the program is structured as a subscription based service. Again, not cool! 2A. I bought the combo printer because I wanted to connect it thru USB rather than wirelessly. The last two HP printers bought over the years were wireless ones and though I'm computer savvy and have been online and printing for 30 years, the 2 wireless printers had network connectivity issues regularly even though they were both close to the PC and the combo modem/router. The various indicator lights on the printers flashed often indicating communication / network problems so, since the printers were fairly cheap anyway, as I tired of network, router/modem/printer resets and reboots, I gave them to Goodwill. 2B. Once the HP123 setup was initialized, I realized this install program has bias toward a wireless connection set up rather than a wired USB. On the first setup screen, the only option is to choose the wireless network the printer detected and another option that says something like "choose a different network". The screen is missing a clickable direct link to a USB setup. However, by clicking the "choose another network" option, on the screen that follows, the user can then choose a wired USB connection. C'mon HP, you can do better! All in all, as a hard wired USB printer, scanner, copier, it's decent. I have no knowledge of its wireless connectivity and use when connected that way.

I needed an affordable and compact printer for my home office, and this HP DeskJet is exactly what I was looking for. The initial setup through the HP Smart App on my smartphone was incredibly quick and seamless.The dual-band Wi-Fi connection is very reliable and has never dropped. I love that I can effortlessly print documents, school forms, and recipes directly from my phone or tablet without any cables. The print quality for text is sharp, and the built-in flatbed scanner works great for quick copies.The option to include HP Instant Ink is a fantastic bonus because I don't have to worry about running out of ink. For the price, you get an excellent all-in-one device. Highly recommended for simple, stress-free home printing!"

I’ve had a great experience with this printer. It was easy to set up, prints clearly, and works well for both documents and color printing. It’s reliable and perfect for everyday use at home.

It’s a cheap printer so I didn’t have very high expectations. I’ve used and loved HP printers for decades in both my personal and professional life (I’m a tech pro). I bought this because I needed a printer and my business class HP color laser is packed after a move and I can’t find it in the mountain of boxes, so this is a temporary substitute. The printer hardware is cheap but that’s to be expected and it seems to work well. HP software has always been solid and dependable just like their printers, but the new HP Smart App is a disaster. It’s a pretty app with more glitz than substance that is built more to sell you ink than to configure your wifi printer correctly. One of my past job titles is network engineer and I know this stuff very well, so when I state that I couldn’t get the printer to connect to my computer over my wifi network or directly to any of several laptops, know that I exhausted all options. Including network analysis tools. The solution was finally to uninstall the Smart App, purge my Windows registry of all HP entries and install the basic HP driver package (which still tried to install the Smart App), and use a direct USB cable. That worked fine and the printer then worked as expected. So, to recap, use an USB cable, only the basic driver package, and disconnect from the internet while you install it. I would guess that an MBA exec at HP decided to save money by firing US based software engineers and outsourcing app development to cheap labor regions to save money. This results in poorly designed and tested software that frequently fails and ruins the customer experience and ruins the brand’s reputation. It ends up costing more money than it saves. HP, stop letting accountants make operational decisions.

I picked up the HP DeskJet 2755e for simple home use and it has done what I need it to. Setup took a little patience the first time with the app and Wi-Fi connection, but once it was registered and on the network it has been easy to print from my phone and laptop. For everyday stuff like labels, school papers, forms, and the occasional color page, the print quality is perfectly fine and the built in scanner is handy for quick copies or sending documents. The Instant Ink trial is a nice perk if you print regularly, since it takes some of the guesswork out of running out of cartridges. This is not a heavy duty office machine and it is not the fastest printer in the world, but for light home use it gets the job done without taking up much space. If you want an affordable all in one for basic printing, scanning, and copying around the house, this model is a solid choice.

Quick delivery! Very easy installation, and connection to the printer (has a wizard for just that)! It is the second purchase of an HP all in one, (the first one lasted me 10 yrs, wired). This is an upgrade for me, to wireless. I was a little nervous I was going to have trouble with the connections to wifi use, but it was so easy. Recommend if you are looking for a reasonable cost for a printer/scanner/copier. It's very light not as heavy as the first one, and has a new feature for the paper tray. The previous models had one that had very breakable tabs holding the paper tray feeder in place. The new version, this one... has one that slides into the printer when not in use, no more tabs! Recommend.

I am very satisfied with the quality of this printer. It prints very well, and the quality is consistent. It is easy to use, making it great for everyday tasks. However, the only downside is that you need to replace the cartridges every time. Other than that, it's a great product!
