2 copper wires joined?

Copper Lock is will not attached copper wires together. It works in the absence of oxygen. Copper Lock be applied to both the exterior of the pipe and the inside of the fitting (male and female)...this would also apply to those situations where you can not turn the pipe immediately after inserting the pipe into the fitting.

What prep work is required on copper to get a good seal and hold?

Prep Work: Its best to start with a clean pipe and fitting. Meaning no oil or dirt on the surface to be connected. Then, using sand paper or emery cloth, rough up lightly the section of the pipe and the inside of the fitting to be connected...wipe clean and apply the Copper Lock to both the outer pipe surface and the inside of the fitting. Put together and turn a half revolution...do not try to reposition for about 2 minutes.

Anyone have ideas for a different solution for this? "I am looking to join two 26 gauge sheets of copper using a simple over lap."

Copper Lock was developed for the US space program to work in the absence of oxygen. This environment is great for attaching pipes into fittings. It will not work for the application you do scribe...air will have access via the opening along the sides of the sheets.
