Blue Force Gear Vickers 2-Point Sling, Black (BLFVCAS-125-OA-BK)

I had been using a Viking Tactical (VTAC) padded sling. It was good for comfort but the pad ended up being more of a nuisance when manipulating the weapon in certain ways. I also didn't like the two different ways of adjusting the sling, grabbing it in one place to tighten and another to loosen, so I went looking for a new sling. The two point sling from STI seemed to be what I was looking for and in general, it's a very good value. It's comfortable, good quality and has just one place to grab for loosening and tightening. Unfortunately, it wasn't as smooth as I'd like when tightening. It wasn't a major issue, but noticeable, so I returned it. If you want to save a few bucks and you're less picky, you might want to consider that one. The Vickers sling is more than double the cost of the STI, but I'm really happy that I got it. The Vickers sling is two pieces, each end secures to a mount point and once fastened, neither moves. When tightening and loosening on the Vickers, the nylon is moving through a glide that is the join point between the two pieces and it moves more smoothly. As mentioned in all the other reviews, the quality is great. It's easy to adjust to my body (I'm 5'11, 175 lbs). When I use the quick adjust to tighten it, the weapon is right where I want it to be. When I loosen it, I can manipulate the weapon as I want and easily swim my left hand out if needed. Great product and though it cost more, it's worth it.

This sling reminds me of many MAGPUL products. They took a simple item that has been around for years and improved it to perfection. I bought this sling at the suggestion of a friend. I first actually "used" this sling, other than shooting a little at the range, during a six day AR-15 instructor class. It wasn't long into the class that I was glad that I made the decision to buy this sling. The number one quality I like about this sling is it's simple, flawless function. You simply pull forward (away) on the gray strap to tighten it, and pull backward (towards you) to loosen it. The second quality of this sling that I really like is the thickness of the webbing. It's very robust, similar to a come-along strap. Other slings that I've used were very thin, which made them more susceptible to twisting and folding. My guess is that there will be many knock-offs of this sling in the future, if they're not already being made. I would have loved to have had a sling like this when I was in the Army. A couple other reviewers made mention that they didn't like the plastic buckles. I don't have a problem with plastic, as long as it's good quality. Metal buckles get hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. Metal is also nosier when it comes in contact with your rifle, and given time it will rust

I went through three different 2 point slings, trying to find one that will make it easy and comfortable to use on my rifle, and that had a pull tab or an equivilant of one, that will allow me to adjust my sling on the fly when I'm going from my rifle hanging on the front of my body(mostly up and down), to firing position, to hanging on my back, back to firing position, and swapping between right and left hand shooting positions without the sling choking me and I don't have to constantly fidget and adjust it to fit every use I would have for it. I was able to get it to work within 15 minutes after unpackaging it and it worked so well, that 20 minutes after I tested it on my rifle, I immediately got back on amazon and ordered a SECOND one for my shotgun. Truly the best sling I've ever had, and the FIRST sling that isn't a pain in the arse to use. Two thumbs up from me.

First off let me start by saying this is a really nice easy to maneuver sling. love the pull tab for the fast adjusting. Only concern that I have with the product is the plastic connectors. I have owned other slings in the past and they seem to be weak points in it. I will have to test these and see if they are sturdier than others. I would think for the cost of the sling they would have added metal connection points.

This is my second time purchasing this item and I highly recommend it. Very easy to install and also very easy to adjust once installed. It’s comfortable and does the job perfectly. There’s no reason to have to get fancy when looking for a product like this. Keep it basic and high-quality and you should be good to go. I highly recommend this item.

I'm not one of the guys, (or gals) in our military, that wear these slings all day long, in terrible conditions.. Their reviews would be much more relevant than mine. But, I do have to defend our central Texas farm from wild pigs, and other varmints.. I have a "few" guns, (wink wink) and have tried quite a few different slings, specifically on my military style rifles. Two of my rifles have Magpul slings, which in my opinion, are too heavy, and the hardware clinks against surfaces in my blind. I'm not sure this sling is perfect, but it's my favorite one right now. One improvement I could suggest, is coming up with a better way to attach it to the buttstock.. very awkward.. I watched a bunch of videos of people showing how to put them on.. Am I the only one that is dumbfounded by people with no speaking ability, who feel the need to make a video?! Anyhoo.. On the positive side, the weight of the sling is much lighter than the Magpul.. The hardware is not as heavy or obnoxious as the ones on Magpul.. And, the strap grab is easy to grab and pull, although I have to hold the sling with the other hand, to get it to slide all the way up.. Maybe that's something else that could be improved, or maybe I just don't have it on correctly. I am happy that I can support a Made in America company..And, yes, I would recommend this sling, and yes, I'm waiting for somebody to get me an Amazon gift card for my birthday or Christmas (hint hint), and will replace the two Magpul slings with these!

I'm not a gun enthusiast and I will admit I know nothing about them. But the reason I'm giving this product 5 stars is mainly because of the praise my brother has given it. You see, my brother is a police officer in a large metro city. He owns several guns, including handguns, shotguns, and assault rifles. When it came time to buy him a Christmas present last year, he specifically asked for this product. He claims that this brand of sling is *THE BEST* and nothing is better. I trust him, as he and his fellow friends/police officers all use this brand of sling on and off duty. What's nice is he took his old sling off his favorite AR and put the one I bought on it. That makes me reassured that he's not just being nice and it makes me glad that if he put this sling on his best/favorite AR, then it must be good.

The material is of very high quality, the seams reinforced, it shows that you can give it a rough use and it will hold you for a long time, its system is easy to use, I recommend it, if I would buy it again, sold by RockMountainTactical, original product.
