These are very durable, with the perfect amount of padding. My fiancé uses them everyday while training at the gym.

although it was expensive this is great. it's very small this is definitely more for advanced students. about one and a half inches thick. comes in a pair. was holding it for a light heavy weight that hit's decently heavy and my hands didn't hurt that bad compaired to the other focus mitts i have held for him witch would hurt my hands for a whole week. definitely not for holding kicks unless they are doing more of a savate/snap kick style kick. although if you have a belly pad or a body shield/vest these work for lessening the impact of more of a muay thai kick. Also these are easier for the pad holder to hit whenever your student/training partners hands are down.If you wan't to focus your speed and accuracy for not only your hands but doing snap kicks i reccomend these
