Q: Is the 15' long, 3/8" wide leash suitable for cats, or is it too heavy?

I have the 30 footer, not the 15, but I would think my cat could handle the 15 footer. It is very lightweight. My cat is about 12 lbs and I think he might be able to drag my 30 footer just fine.

Q: Does this leash have a handle/grip?

It does have a handle. Wear gloves for grip. If leash gets wet and your dog drafts, be ready to hold on. Great leash. Easy to clean.

Q: Is the 33' x 3/8" strong enough for training a super strong & athletic 55 pound Olde Bulldogge?

I use my 15 foot 3/8" for training. My dog is a mixed breed that is 83lbs of muscle. Although he is well behaved he has a strong prey drive and will give in to mother nature's call every now and again. I have had no trouble with the durability of the lead. Not only is it strong, the material does not slide in your hand if the dog bolts. It saves your hands from burns or cuts from a stiff leash.
