Bueno para aprender a usar caliper de dial
La calidad general del caliper es mediana. Tiene un acabado un tanto descuidado pero en general funciona bien. Por el precio, lo uso principalmente para aprender a usar un caliper de dial con medidas en pulgadas.

No batteries needed!
I measured one of my scalp hairs to be 2 thou (0.002 inches). I've never had a dial indicator-esque tool before, so this is pretty neat to play with. I have to get use to thinking of 1/4" as 0.25", and on the caliper measures to big marked "2" with "50" on the dial. By the way, the caliper is divided into 10ths so this is better for decimal use - unless you've memorized your most used fractions (e.g. 3/8" = 0.375 = "3" with Dial "75"). It's more thinking than a digital caliper which gives one concise number, but not as much effort as interpreting a Vernier caliper, so I think it's a decent middle ground for me. Your mileage may very depending on usage.A nice bonus I found out by accident is it's ability to be re-zeroed. You can loosen the plate with the numbers and realign them to wherever you want zero to be. Technically you could use this to measure differences, but I'd rather not fuss with the setting over and over.I loved my old digital calipers that could switch between inch and mm, decimal and fraction, but the batteries kept dying on me. Button cells are the only batteries I never carry because I hate them so much, so I got these calipers to back me up. So far, so good.

Have used for a month and seems very good value for price
Have used for a month and seems very good value for price. Goes back to 0 when close caliper. Values seem consistent.

Pretty good
As others have said, it's gritty. But after a bit of cleaning with an old t shirt dampened with alcohol and opening and closing slowly and repeatedly cleaning everything in between actuating, it smoothed out. Be careful not to get any lint in the little gear teeth on the rack.
