Q: Will the stonger coil version overpower a light pendulum?

I don't know if it will overpower it or not, but the standard coil I bought works great with a 10" or so brass pendulum. The stronger coils I think is if you put the movement in say a larger grandfather type clock. I used it in a wall clock and the standard coil keeps it swinging great. Good luck.

Q: when do you need the "Stronger coil" version?

I bought the standard coil. If you have a heavy solid pendulum, the heavy coil is to help keep it swinging. Standard coil worked good with my brass 10" pendulum.

Q: If old hands don't fit, where can you buy ones that do fit?

Hello and how are you? You old hands that you must currently have would most likely fit this movement just fine. We also have plain pointed baton hands and metal spade hands if that is your preference.

Q: Does this come with hands?

No, the movement comes without hands, just additional screws and instructions. However, the hands from your old movement should work with this one.
