Fjallraven Kanken Bottle Pocket

First off, I'm a sucker for anything Fjallraven makes, and I especially love my Kanken. But I had been putting off getting a pair of bottle pockets for a long time, because they're kind of pricey for a small add-on. So I sat down and started planning to make my own, until half way through, I realized that I'm better off just buying these from Fjallraven. They're super solid, they fit the side pockets well, and they match my Kanken perfectly. I use them daily now, and it's really nice to be able to put my water bottles on the sides now instead of carrying the weight concentrated in the center. I didn't expect I would notice or care, but it's a nice, unexpected bonus.

I have a 13" laptop Kanken and this fits perfectly in the side pockets (you won't be able to really use those pockets with this in tho). My 32 oz wide mouth Hydro Flask fits perfectly and I can cinch the drawstring top to cover the bottle completely. The bottle will fit with a boot but it's hard to insert or remove. A 40 oz bottle also fits without fearing it would topple out. Your backpack will be lopsided with the weight so you'll need to plan how to pack it. I returned this one because of the color. The navy is super dark, like a slightly faded black. And as with the darker-colored Kankens with this material, the coating turns the creases white. So even brand new they can look used and worn. I ended up getting a yellow one that I liked better.

I purchased this for my young daughter’s kanken backpack. It slides nicely onto the side pocket, matches well, and seems well constructed. The biggest issue my daughter has is that the holder slides off too easily. There are many days that she brings her bag home from school with the water bottle holder inside her bag. She is young so I’m sure her backpack is carried every which way, especially on the bus. But it would be nice if there was a way to fasten it in place. I may have to put a few stitches around the water bottle holder frame to hold it to the backpack.

Works perfectly with my Kånken and fits my 48oz Nalgene with no problem. Couldn’t ask for a better companion for my trusty backpack! I was lucky to get it on a deal, so I definitely got my money’s worth!

As many others have said, this accesory helps optimize the inner space of the main compartment. Also, the drawstring helps keep the bottle secured (think a free sip 24 oz owala, an 18 oz yeti, or a smaller one, like an asobu). Definitely a great add on to make the best of your backpack.

This water bottle pouch has held up great with daily use on my elementary-age kid's backpack. It bought mostly because it could hold and secure a standard size water bottle AND it was the same color as her backpack. This is one of those things that might cost a bit more than other solutions but you'll save in the long run as you only have to buy it once.

Easily holds my 40 oz owala free sip but I don’t think it would hold more than that. Made of the same durable material as the bags. Fits both my kanken backpack, kanken tote pack, and kanken mini tote pack. Can make the bag a little uneven in weight distribution with bigger bottles but I think it’s worth it.

Super produit très bien pensé, s'adapte parfaitement aux poches latérales de mon kanken 17 laptop. Je leur trouve tout de même trois défauts dont un qu'il faudra absolument que je corrige. 1. La couleur n'est pas la même que mon kaken, ce n est pas le même noir et il sagit pourtant de la même matière 2. Elles sont quand même assez lourde due a la structure en acier de la pochette, je vous conseille d'en mettre une de chaque côté pour équilibrer le poid sur de longues distance. 3. Quand vous sortez votre gourde la pochette sort de son logement ... Si le cordon s'accroche a une branche la pochette sort de son logement et si vous posez vous sac a plat en relevant votre sac la pochette sort de son logement .... C'est très gênant il faudrait trouver un système simple pour bloquer la pochette et ne pas risquer de la perdre. Sinon super qualité comme toujours chez fjallraven !

This was such a great addition to find for my Kanken backpack. Helps me have larger water bottles since the side pockets on the Kanken really don't hold anything but smaller bottles and especially not when the backpack is quite full. and they do secure well with the drawstring top. The only downside is that sometimes I find it can slip out of the backpack a little easily but not too bad.

Fue una adición excelente para mi mochila, es justo lo que necesitaba y realmente ahora necesito comprar otro, para que tenga más opciones. Excelente calidad, el color es algo claro para mi gusto, pero lindo, recomiendo que cierre porque luego se sale la botella de agua. Caben botellas de un litro.
