They seem to be a great product and not real difficult to install. Cutting them shorter was not bad but punching out the new holes for the screws was very difficult. The hole punch would not do it. Had to use a drill and even then it took some extra work to clean out the holes. With that said it is a tough product. I believe they will last a long time.

Amazing Mud Flaps! I have a 24' Duramax. The exhaust heated up the right flap, but instead of ordering their heat shield which I read was too small, I went to HD and purchased a 18"x12" piece of sheet metal and attached it to the bolts that hold the flap on. Bolting it on like I did prevents the heat shield from melting out of the mud flap like their brand one has been said to to, and it works perfect. Would give 5 stars if they dealt with this as a part of the product.

A truck forum friend asked for feedback on these and I had just bought it. It’s been sitting my office for two weeks because I’m too lazy/busy to put them on yet. However, I cracked the box open and everything looks top notch. Nylocks galore, stainless to avoid rust, and it is well built. I’m in e-commerce so my standards are high, but it looks like they put a lot of time and attention into making this an easy install as well. I’m not crazy about getting mud flaps, but these look like they’ll easy keep my boat safe from anymore rock chips and be easily removed when I’m not towing. I took a chance on these purely based on the review count and star rating, but the level of effort they put into the instruction manual as well as the following overview video should tell you it is a great product from a company that cares. Video: couldn’t get amazon to accept it. This product overall is excellent. BUT if you own a 2017 Silverado 2500 6.0 L double cab pickup DONT BUY THIS WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE EXHAUST PROBLEM FIRST. I called Rock Tamers support with concerns about the distance. Of the exhaust pipe on this truck and the RT mud flap. I was told that if you have at least 8 inches of clearance then there shouldn't be any problem. Not true at all. I had 8 1/4 inches to 9.75" clearance (angle cut pipe stock) to the mud flap. Figured I was good. After driving home from the camp ground (2hrs) I looked at the mud flap and there was blistering on the exhaust side and warping on the trailer side. I could not believe it. I sent Rock Tamers an email explaining at this with pictures. No response. Sent another email surprised at their lack of concern. Got an email back saying they were pretty busy but they would get back to me later that day. The next day I got a standard form email suggesting movement of the placement arms and/or the use of a heat shield. They gave me the name of the company that made the heat shield. What is interesting, no mention of the loss of warranty with the use of this heat shield as was explained to me during the original phone call. Go figure. But I don't think they have any warranty any way as there was damage and no offer to replace damaged item. I honestly think if you don't have exhaust blowing directly on the flap this could be a great product but with a company that is clueless about customer satisfaction. 2017 Silverado 2500 Gas, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! Update: Rock Tamers stepped up and paid for the new mud flap. I think they also added a heat shield. Very understanding company once you get passed the form letters. Love these things!!

Great for protecting boat or trailer from things kicked up by the tires. Relatively easy to put together and install, if you are concerned about throwing rocks this is the answer!

Had these for a year and use them a lot. Took a little time to assemble. Instructions were clear and lots of videos if required. These are well made mud flaps. All the casting are nicely finished and the bare metal is stainless. Couple of points. They are fairly heavy. You need a plan for storage because they have to hang. They are loose in the receiver and will tip back and forth without a hitch tightener. I have an F-150 and the standard plate tightener wouldn't work. Once the flaps are mounted there isn't enough room for the angled anti-rattle plate and the "U" bolt to fit between the mud flap mount and the receiver. I cut apart an anti-rattle plate and re-welded the angle to 90 degrees. Also added a 3/8 bar to level the plate. Works great now. Rock solid. I'm very please with the mud flags. I won't say I'll buy them again, because I can't see them wearing out.

I have wide, aggressive tires on my truck. Although I have installed mudflaps on the truck, I find that these mudflaps give me peace of mind when towing my RV as their size ensures the coach is protected from stones that my tires pick up. The mounting system is ingenious (mounts on to the ball mount rather than the truck). This makes them easy to remove when I am not towing. The hardware is high quality stainless steel and powder coated steel. A very sturdy and well made setup.

These are a very good, well made product. easy to assemble for your vehicle and easily removed when not needed. They have lots of adjustment to them so you will have an easy time fitting them to where you would like them to be in regards to road clearance and distance between the truck bumper and the "Rock Tamers". If you need to shorten them a bit, they are pre scored for you to do so easily. I am using mine on my Silverado pickup, so I had to shorten them 4 inches. very easiy done, thanks to the scored markings. I am very satisfied with them to date, will give them a real " road test" this summer.

We have tried brush guards, other rock guards & still my boat and trailer get chipped with rocks but this Rock Tamers Mudflap solved ALL my problems. It fit perfectly on my Dodge Ram 2500 hitch, the flaps are so nice and thick they stop everything including big rocks, loose asphalt, mud etc. I very rarely write reviews but this one I had to do because Rock Tamers delivered fast to Canada, the product is exactly as described plus it does the job as promised. My husband and I are very happy with this product, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
