****Update**** STILL going strong & never failed me not even once. I constantly use this at LEAST once a day & after all this time it works as though i just unboxed it yesterday. I blown away by the quality esp since I am NOT easy on anything lol! I can't imagine what people are putting into this thing to break it....Lol HONESTLY, it's not a Nutcracker (although I've pureed many many nut Without shell, into silky delicious vegan "dream-cream" sauces) Unfortunately my kitchen was compromised (NOT DUE TO THIS MACHINE WHATSOEVER) in a house fire & I lost my machine to it. But hey, no worries! Less than $40, is so do-able. Thank you!!!! This thing is awesome! Idk how I ever made it in the kitchen without one. Extremely easy to assemble, use, clean, & store. Very powerful and purees in a matter of seconds. So far I have made hummus & banana ice cream and both were a huge hit with the kids! I'm glad I decided to invest in this product & highly recommend this kitchen appliance to anyone looking for good quality at a low price. This item was well packed and shipped to my door in two days. I've pined for a food processor for the best part of 9 years. Usually put off by the high prices and the 'well how much will I really use it' I never was able to pull the trigger, until now. Checklist: Under $25? Yes. At least 4.2 Average Review? Yes. Comes with slicer, greater, and multi-purpose blade? Yes. Well then what am I holding out for? I've used this in one weeks of food prep and as far as I'm concerned it's already paid for itself. First I used it to slice leeks, which it did beautifully. Then I used the grater blade to shred two onions, easy as can be. From there I put in the general blade, added two cups of cheese and made a wonderfully smooth cheese and onion topping for my cod fillets. In 20 years of cooking I've never gotten this topping this smooth and creamy before! It was amazing. And then after a quick rinse, I ran two pounds of potatoes through the slicer for Scalloped potatoes and then came out far better than I could have done by hand, and it saved my 15 minutes. How have I lived without this?! Of course it's not perfect, I mean, it's a sub $25 food processor, and it's easy to spend $200 on a food processor, so obviously there's going to be some compromises. The motor is on the weak side, but I also never had any problems with power doing what I described earlier. It's loud, almost unpleasant to listen to when in operation. The base feels cheap, but that being said, everything clicks together with a good feel. As far as I am aware, there are no accessory blades. And I don't care about any of this, because it cost me a whole $22. Disassembling for cleaning is a breeze, it took me about 30 seconds to clean it from one task to the next, and there's even suction cups on the base to stick it to the counter! I can't recommend this enough at this point, as an entry level, do most everything food processor it can't be beat.

This HB food processor is POW-ER-FUL. It is QUICK! This is the second food processor I've ever owned. I purchased a Black & Decker about two years ago. It is clumpy, huge, and very hard to use--so--when I saw this one, I said to myself, "Self! This looks like the food processor you were trying to buy the first time." I was thinking, 'What am I going to do with TWO food processors?' Well, here's the answer: Use one and put the other one away. That's what I did and THIS ONE is the one I use EVERYDAY--several times a day. The B&D was used about three times in two years! To add insult to injury, I placed the B&D in the box this one came in and put it away. What makes this processor quick and slick is 1) Powerful speed! I shredded eight (8) large carrots in less than five minutes with very, very little effort. I also used the slicer side and sliced two red onions--in nothing flat. 2) When using the 'pulse' feature, two to three pulses to chop carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, mix cake dough, etc--is all it takes. I haven't had to use the #2 setting yet because the 'pulse' and/or #1 setting performs the task so well. Now, I'm not saying I'll NEVER use the B&D processor again. It does have a dough blade for making bread so I will probably pull it out and live tortuously through the noise and clumsiness to get the job done; however, I plan to try with all my might to see if this one will do the job just as well. (I think it will). The reason I think that is because I made banana bread with it just today and everything mixed purr-fect-ly. The bread is moist and wonderful! I just creamed the butter and sugar first. After being careful to scrape everything down to make certain it is well mixed, I just dumped in the bananas, vanilla, and dry ingredients at once. I pulsed it a couple times, then mixed everything on the #1 setting for about six seconds and it was done. It is so delicious. If you buy this food processor, you won't be disappointed. It cleans easily too. Of course, the motor is not whisper quiet,but let me assure you that it is no louder than a $24 stand mixer (which I also own)...LOL. It's light-weight and don't let that fool you. I was a little hesitant when I took it out the box and realized how lightweight it is. Hamilton Beach did it again. I chopped some pork and made breakfast sausage the very first night. Worked perfectly. Just be sure the meat is cold. One thing I do miss. The B&D has a little indicator light that stays on when the appliance is plugged in. I really miss having that on this HB processor. The trade-off is worth it though. The other trade-off is this one fits so perfectly underneath the kitchen cabinets on my countertop. Slick! I can hardly wait to make coleslaw with it. Haven't tried to shred cheese with it and I probably won't ever because I buy my cheese already shredded. I'm sure if I decide to, though, it will work well. I received this processor three (3) days ago and have used it more in this short amount of time than my other processor, mixer and blender combined. Happy! Happy! Chop! Chop! Slice! Shred!

So far it worked perfectly making hummus and chopping up vegetables. The power is above my expectations, the bowl size it big but not too big for my needs. It is plastic so there is a slightly worry about it breaking especially were the top snaps in to the base p. So try not to man handle it. Other then that it totally has met my expectations

I am so happy I purchased this Hamilton beach food processor. I'm a mom who makes her own baby food and I was able to make 4 or 5 recipes within minutes with this processor. I used it within a few hours of receiving it in the mail and it did not disappoint. It's very lightweight and easy to clean. I was using a Ninja processor I purchased from QVC years ago and I recently broke the plastic container. To replace it would be about $75 just for the container itself which is insane! So I looked into getting a good size food processor from Amazon that was reasonably priced and this one came up. I wasn't hesitant at all being Hamilton beach is a good brand and I have other small appliances by them. This processor is 8 cups and easily blends the ingredients quickly and thoroughly. It's still loud, but not nearly as loud as the Ninja which is so nice because my baby used to to get scared and cry before, but now my baby just watches this one while its on. The Ninja used to shake all around even with having suction cups underneath it. This Hamilton Beach processor doesn't move at all and also has little suction cups that keep it in place. This is super easy to operate and feels safe enough that I even showed my 8 year old all the parts and how to use it. I'm over the moon thrilled that I have found a tool to help make mom life that much more rewarding when it comes to making meals for my family. Its a great addition to my kitchen and I love using it.

Great food processor! I bought a 1978 HB food processor in a thrift shop years ago and it worked terrific. In Dec. it decided to give up. I researched and decided to buy another HB. This one was similar in size but not as extensive as the old one. My old one had a dough/stirring blade, two different shredding blades, extension pieces, most of which I did not use. What a surprise in this new processor! The price was right, cheaper here than on the HB site. This machine is lightweight, has the knob for use. I did not want a push button switch because of the feel and also if it broke that would be another piece which I figured would cost a lot to fix. I primarily used this machine to make bread crumbs, grate hard cheese. the single reversible shredding blade is all that is needed. Best of all, this machine stores well since the top piece turns upside down to fit into the cup. With out much height storage room, this is perfect. The instruction booklet said there was an optional crinkle cut/fine shredding blade to purchase. I went on the HB site and was not there, called the company and they said that it was no available for this model. I asked why then was it put in the instruction book. The rep did not know. While the old machine was made in the USA, this one was made in China. Times had changed. I would have liked a USA product but decided on this one any way. If you want a small yet big enough machine to use, light weight, easy knob with a pulse and two other positions, self storage piece, one reversible blade, an inexpensive cost, then this will work fine. Figure out what your needs are when using a food processor, how many times you will be using it, check different processors in the stores for look, weight and feel. Hamilton Beach 8 cup processor may be just the machine you will need!

I can't believe this thing only cost $28. I've never owned a food processor in my life - I've always had this weird thing about having to chop everything by hand. And I cook a LOT. But I was finally thwarted by falafel - I had a grinder attachment for my KitchenAid that was just not cutting it, and my blender wasn't cutting it for the hummus I also love to make on the regular. Both made these simple foods take too long to prepare and make a huge mess. So I decided to initiate the Food Processor Experiment. This thing had great reviews so I thought it would probably be a good test subject. I had a batch of soaked chickpeas on deck and ready to go when this thing arrived in the mail (oh I love Prime.. as close as you can get to instant gratification). The first thing I threw in there was a big bunch of cilantro and parsley. Packed to the brim. Pulverized to perfectly uniform bits in seconds. I think I screamed. I took out the greens and next I threw in five cloves of whole garlic. Instantly shredded into fairly uniform bits, the size you'd get from chopping by hand. Then added two huge jalapeno peppers and some onions. Five seconds later, they are obliterated. At this point, I'm snapchatting the before and after photos of my chopped food to my sister and boyfriend, who are laughing at me. After all, I'm 27 years old, it's not like I've never witnessed modern technology before. Finally, I removed the previously mentioned ingredients and did the beans. Amazingly, they didn't stick, whole beans didn't float at the top while the bottom layer was turned to mush, but I think I did about 4-5 cups of whole beans at a time and let it go for 45-60 seconds and the falafel was perfectly ground with excellent uniform particle size and cohesion. They were my best batch yet. Since then I've been tossings things in there willy nilly, just to try out the shredding disc as well as the chopping blade. Made some almond and hazelnut flour from raw nuts. Sliced a whole bunch of celery and beets, cabbage, onion, with the shredding disc. My favorite things: - It's idiot proof and easy to click the bowl onto the base with one hand. - Easy to clean - The chopping blades are spaced well so that food at the top is drawn down toward the blade and your whole substance receives a uniform chop. - 8-cups is perfect. I think 10 cups would be too big for anything, really. I have made batches of food big enough for 10 people with this size easily. My only gripes with this processor... - It only has two speeds: 1 "Really High", and 2 "Insanely High". The Pulse function pulses at "Insanely High." So you can't really coarsely chop things like greens. - It is extremely loud. Think: laying your face directly against a vacuum cleaner. Or, a cheap hand mixer at its highest speed. If you live in an apartment your neighbors will definitely know when you're a-processin.' On the other hand, it'll only be for a few seconds because dang this thing is powerful. - Because of the high speeds, it is difficult to get uniform slicing when doing small/soft things like green onions or cucumbers with the shredding/slicing disc. It is just so fast that after the green onions get past the point where you can hand-feed it into the chute, they just get sucked in and shredded from whichever angle they hit the slicing blade. So, I had a bunch of green onions which were perfectly tiny cross sections, and a bunch of long skinny shreds of green onion that had been sliced longitudinally rather than axially. This wasn't a problem for harder things like onion, beets, and cabbage. which I was fine with being sliced that way. (If anyone has ideas on maneuvering around this, leave a comment!) If I could change anything, I would give it a low speed setting. Nevertheless, that doesn't change my overall starry-eyed adoration for this amazing contraption. It is an excellent value and super powerful for its price. I am very, very happy with this purchase. $30 well spent.

under regular use of just a few times,the product smoked and smelt. Cannot use it now.. Cart2india, the suppliers,told me they cannot help me in any way. Hamilton Beach Indian website and phone numbers are not working!! Am left stranded!

Will do fine if you don't use much or too long at a time. Motor will slow down if it strggle, Cpuld burn if not careful

Lo uso primordialmente para hacer crema de cacahuate me va de maravilla, ya tengo 5 meses con el y al momento cero fallas, muy recomendable.

very pleased with the results while using it. I was concerned as it was lighter than expected but I haven't replaced the previous one in more than 20 years.
