Very quick germination!
I am shocked how quickly these seeds germinate! I did not stratify them. I took them right out of the package and planted them in an old plastic food container. I just sprinkled them on the surface of the soil and then sprinkled a tiny amount of soil over them. Seeds should only be planted about as deep as they are tall, so don't bury them too deep. I misted the soil until it was moist but not soaked, with a squirt bottle. I put the (covered) container of soil on top of my hydroponic light because it gives off heat. You could also put them on top of a heating pad. Using this method they sprouted in 3 days! I couldn't believe it. Highly recommend!

Stratification in progress
I'm hoping stratification yields great germination percentage

Waste of money. Not a single germination.

Seeds sprouted
I'm excited to see that the butterfly milkweed has sprouted. I kept them in my frig in damp paper towel for a few weeks before planting.

Easy to grow here in Florida
We got these seeds 3 weeks ago today and didn't bother to do the stratification process, just tossed them in a coffee can with some peat and shook it around...scattered in an area of about a square meter and covered with a little peat moss. Got water every day. I had one big clump of seeds that didn't mix up but grew a little patch that got put in the quart container. Good seeds will provide a very nice border for the garden.

Only milkweed I was able to germinate!!
This is the third brand of milkweed I have purchased and the only one that germinated. The instructions say to chill before planting. I put them in the refrigerator for one week and then planted. I have more seedlings than I imagined!!
