I just installed these in a 40-foot octagon gazebo. That means I have 8 sides at 5 feet per side. I saw 40' in the description and thought it was the perfect length. However, there is a 8-foot lightless lead wire to the solar panel which they count in the 40'. So I have 2 sections without lights. The tube lights are thick shoestring size, which is OK, but smaller than I thought. The string lit up our of the box, so that's a plus.

Bought 4 during a 2-3 week timeframe. They look very nice, exactly what I expected and so far working well.The reason for 3 star rating: First, I initially purchased Two sets. One came defective, & Per Amazon and instructions in box, I attempted to email company/manufacturer. Never received a reply - could’ve stopped a 1 starred them then!I sent back the defective unit (it was actually broken in half) and Amazon sent a replacement.Decided to purchase a third to expand our location… and the price went up, oh well.The new 3rd set was different than the first two, but close enough in size and color that it was ok.The 4th… tubing is larger (diameter) than the forst 3 and the end caps completely different. It did work out fine for our installation, but the inconsistency of product and no communication bothers me.

There isn't a setting for the lights to stay on. The closet you'll get to that is the setting where the lights dem then brighten up a bit.

Don’t buy this if you want lights bright enough to read. These are perfect for accent lighting which was what I wanted for my terrace. The solar battery has lasted 8-10hrs so it will stay on all night. Not sure how long during winter but so far I am very happy.

Purchased 3 sets, all solar panels are in the same spot, yet one set lasts 2 hours, another lasts about 5-6 hours and one lasts 12+. Would be nice if they all had the same battery life.
